Beyond the Red Pill: What Faith, BPD & 40 Years Taught Me About Love, Purpose & Becoming the One

I turned 40 on March 31st. And for the first time in a long time, I got still. No panic. No midlife crisis. Just an honest accounting of where I am, how I got here, and what it cost me to arrive at this level of clarity. What I found wasn't comfortable. But it was necessary. In this raw solo episode — Part 1 of a public exploration — I'm opening up about the three forces that quietly shaped every romantic relationship I've had as a man: → My diagnoses of BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) and PTSD, and what they were doing underneath the surface of every relationship I entered — without me fully understanding it → The Red Pill and the manosphere — what it got right, what it gets dangerously wrong, and why it is a cage dressed up as freedom → My Christian faith — the only framework that gave me a foundation that actually held I'm also getting real about what dating actually looks like for a 40-year-old man with 7 kids who cold approaches in person and has a closing rate of roughly 1 in 20. It's brutal. And the philosophy shift that got me through it changed everything. This isn't a rant. This isn't victim energy. This isn't a Red Pill echo chamber or a performative redemption arc. This is a combat veteran, ordained minister, and mental health journalist doing the work in public — and sharing the blueprint. Whether you are a man navigating dating, mental health, or the pull of manosphere content, or a woman trying to understand what is actually happening inside the men in your life — this episode is for you. Part 2 drops soon.
