Episode 13: The "Know-It-All" Trap: Leading Outside Your Comfort Zone

Have you ever stepped into a new leadership role, looked at your team, and quietly panicked thinking: “I don’t even know what to do because I don’t even know what this is”? You’re not alone. The second we get dropped into unfamiliar territory, our instinct is to prove our worth by attempting to become an overnight genius. But here’s the reality: whether you freeze in analysis paralysis trying to read every manual, or pull 1:00 AM panic-study sessions making fast calls on incomplete data to avoid looking like a fraud, you’ve fallen into The "Know-It-All" Trap.   In this episode of The Unscripted Manager, I  share my own personal jump from retail operations into leading supplier relationships, a new area where I had no background.
