So much happy nostalgia!

Deep dives into the history and gameplay of so many DOS and Win9x games from my past. Joe does a great job of talking about the good and bad of PC games of the 80s and 90s, cutting through the rose tint of nostalgic lenses to remind us all about what was great and maybe not so great about some of the games we love. Between Phil's Computer Lab, PushingUpRoses, and LGR on YouTube, and now finding this podcast, I have become rather enthusiastic about building up my own 486 and Pentium machines again to enjoy these games.

A Fantastic Exploration of Classic Computer Gaming

This podcast has been both educational and entertaining. It takes me back to better days when I was able to play many of the games covered, and it always inspires me to return to them, if I can.

Being walked off the nostalgia plank into the familiar waters of so many great and interesting games is a delightful fate.

AUTOEXEC.BAT/CONFIG.SYS

Just tripped over the pod and listened to the Master of Orion ep, I can’t even begin to convey the enjoyment had listening to you delve into the boot file editing tactics you used to get that baby to run. I had an IBM PS/2 with a lowly 2MB of total memory to launch my copy with, and I remember spending hours with my GE engineer uncle hammering out a config that could actually muster executing Orion.exe. Keep up the stellar work, man!
