Taki Theodoracopulos is the author of The Last Alpha Male: The Amorous Pursuits and High Life of a Poor Little Greek Boy, a memoir of the legendary Greek bon vivant, rake, and chronicler of 20th-century high society. Taki is a longtime Spectator columnist and co-founder of The American Conservative and Taki’s Magazine. Get his latest book here: The Last Alpha Male His newest book, covering the Amorous Pursuits and High Life of a "Poor Little Greek Boy", is the latest — and perhaps greatest — offering from Taki Theodoracopulos, who recounts a life dedicated to beautiful women, adventure, relentless mischief, and bucking the petty, self-emasculating demands of political correctness. Born to privilege, and trained early in the arts of charm and excess, Taki’s irrepressible spirit has led him from Riviera soirées with Porfirio Rubirosa and Brigitte Bardot (among many other beautiful women) to battlefields, courtrooms, and sensuous nightclubs across the globe. Along the way, he hobnobbed with princes and presidents, outran husbands, scandalized feminists, and wrote about it all with his trademark wit and fearlessness as The Spectator’s legendary High Life columnist. But beneath the tales of romantic conquest and misadventure, Taki weaves a sharp yet humorous commentary on today’s joyless age of liberal scolds, conservative prudes, and fading masculinity. For newcomers, this memoir is the perfect introduction to the wit, charm, and unrepentant joie de vivre that has made Taki beloved (and infamous) for decades. Longtime fans will delight in fresh gossip, old grudges, and his playful settling of scores. The Last Alpha Male is Taki at his very best: bold, irreverent, insightful, and endlessly entertaining. If you believe life should be lived unapologetically, if you can imagine our stiff public figureheads “but different,” pour yourself a drink, settle in, and let Taki remind you what we’ve all been missing. NOTE: We tried too interview Taki last month when he was in Gstadt, Switzerland, but technical problems forced us to postpone the interview until he was in New York City. I traveled to Manhattan to meet and interview Taki in person at his Park Avenue Apartment...however, we were hit by yet another technical problem, involving my iPad, so I recorded the interview on my phone, with both Taki and myself in the same shot on screen. The angle is not the most flattering - but the conversation is nonetheless interesting. Make that fascinating. (Interestingly, Taki is 89, yet still goes to the Dojo and trains in Karate and Kick Boxing!) Due to Taki's busy schedule (he was off to DC in a couple of days), we were under time restraints, so, much of what I wanted to ask him went unasked. HOWEVER - Taki told me he'd be happy to come back at a later date, so consider this the first in what may be two or three episodes on Taki and his unusual exploits. *_*_*_* LEGAL STUFF: All opinions expressed in this show are the personal opinions of the people expressing them, based on facts as they are known to or interpreted by the speaker, and are not necessarily the opinion of, or endorsed by, either the Platform(s) on which this show is streaming, or the Hosts or Guests - BUT are Protected Speech under the First Amendment to our Constitution.
