Moving Across the Country Thanks to Remote Work

Moving Across the Country Thanks to Remote Work

Have you felt like you wanted to make a drastic move or change? But you could list off 109 reasons why you "just can't"
We get so side-tracked by what we “should” do and where we “should" be that we let excuses and complacencies get it the way of doing what we WANT.
I often get asked, “How were you able to make such a drastic move across the country?” and I have to always start with the same answer. Yes, I was extremely motivated to make a big change, but really, it was greatly due to the opportunity I got to work remotely.
This episode I explain why and how I made the move, 3,000 miles away, in a 2 door Jeep Wrangler.
It's one thing to be location independent, and live the laptop lifestyle, but it's another to actually create a life you love by doing it.
Topic 1 - Why making a big move will help other areas of your life. Feeling fulfilled, being productive. (3:00)
Topic 2 -  Listen to your gut and make that tough decision. (5:40)
Topic 3 - When I first  got the opportunity to work remote. (7:00)
Topic 4 - Tradeoffs and what you leave behind making big decisions. (10:00)
Topic 5 - About the cross country road trip on a budget and with almost no plan. (12:20)
Topic 6 - How having my remote work and income allowed me to actually make the move, and not let excuses get in the way. (20:00)
