Every few centuries, God gifts the church with extraordinary minds to reinforce timeless theological truths and apply fresh biblical applications to rising issues of the day. I personally know the hosts (Jason & Gary), and they are...not these kind of men *wink, wink*.
All sarcasm and jesting aside, Jason and Gary are just ordinary pastors, but they seek to magnify an extraordinary message—the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ and the life-changing, transformational implications of it.They may not be the next Augustine of Hippo, John Calvin, Charles Spurgeon, or J. Gresham Machen, but you know that the hosts have gotten in the minds of these extraordinary people through countless hours of study and, in turn, we as the listeners are blessed by what they have talk about and share. Their podcast is worthy of listenership.
May we seek to have the mind of John the Baptist, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” May the mind of Christ be reflected in our message (Phil. 2:3–5). Let us all strive to be ordinary so all the more glory goes to God.
