Started in 2014, "The Weekend Shift" is an evening radio show hosted by sisters — Brittany J. and Brianne Barnes -- where each expresses their views on notable social and lifestyle topics during the opening “Sister Chat" segment. Later, the ladies welcome various local and regional movers and shakers, who join them in a discussion for the listeners. The program aims to entertain and enlighten their listeners with tips on beauty, fashion, partying safely and entertainment news.     Two decades ago, a boy band called T.O.K began making music that would shake the world and define the genre. With international smash hits such as "Footprints", "Gal You Ah Lead", "Chi Chi Man”, "Money 2 Burn" and "She's Hot," it was no understatement when New York Times described the group as the world's greatest dancehall-reggae boy band; their tunes were played and enjoyed all the way from Jamaica to Japan. Despite the magic these guys made when together, the inevitable break up happened in October 2015 as Double X (formerly known as Flexx) was ready to start his solo career.     Towards the end of 2015, P Social was introduced to Ja’el The Great while attending Francoise Bowen’s acting, film and photography workshop. The team learned about her achievements, advice on accomplishing life goals and of course, her perspective on Antigua. Undeniably, Ja’el is a confident, genuine, encouraging and passionate woman who is committed to pursuing her dreams, and helping others to do the same. She is a perfect guest to have on The Weekend Shift at the start of 2016; a time where people are recommitting to their goals or are in need of that extra push to recognize their potential. During our brief encounter speaking with Ja’el, we learned that she wears many hats; she’s a professor, life coach, author, actress and motivational speaker who is passionate about spreading the message that, “You are Perfect for Your Purpose.” How she got on that career path is captivating. Her passion for being a life coach blossomed after her time working with world-famous motivational legend Les Brown at his How to Become a Millionaire Workshop, coupled with her experience meeting Oprah Winfrey. Her passion for encouragement is witnessed in her book Loving Your Daughter to Greatness: How to Keep Your Daughter From Doing What You Wish You Hadn’t, and also through her Back to Basics workshop series that is a guide to dating and relationships. Ja’el has also been successful in her acting and singing pursuits, working alongside heavy hitters of the entertainment industry such as Tyler Perry, Robert Townsend, Kim Fields, Loretta Devine, Jennifer Holiday, Isaac Caree, and Angie Stone.
