    The Weekly Whats Update S5 Ep6

    Grant’s back!  And we are gearing up for a hot ass summer on The Block with a ton of new shows incoming as well as the HEAT!  I think we are ready for it… almost… We catch up on the last couple of weeks events and also get to talk all things DJing like our latest endeavors in the wonderful world of “people that make requests” (just a tip, don’t make one if it doesn’t make any sense with what’s already playing).  We have some signs posted in our venues know that politely ask to try your best to enjoy the night without having to bother the DJ doing their jobs.  Also another pro tip always make sure when you are leaving the clubs late at night to always have a buddy with you to get you to your car or you can always ask one of our Corner Bar security guards and they will gladly get you sorted for your safety. We have a very special guest in the studio with one of our favorite local minimal producers and friends SKYE coming through to let us know all the great things happening from her latest releases, upcoming shows, her latest production tools, and also lends her vast knowledge of producers to help the conversation stay on track with facts! She’s definitely help put eyes on the female minimal tech scene as an absolute weapon and trust us she knows her shit and we are 100% here for it the whole way through.  Find out where you can see her weekly in Vegas as well as her up coming shows around  the US!  *spoiler alert - See you in Salt Lake!     The Weekly Whats Update S5 Ep5

    Grant is gone this week taking a little break to recoup from his and Shauns trip to Movement Detroit.  Shaun was able to give us a little recap of some of his favorite highlights from the massive festival that took over Downtown Detroit for the weekend and we will catch up with Grant next week to get his take as well to round out the full recap. I get to chat a little about our recent trip to the 808 with my daughter and her mom and step dad thanks to Make A Wish Nevada.  What an amazing experience we are super grateful for we got to do so many amazing things including a last minute booking at Bar 35 from linking with the homies through my brother and partner DJ Shr3d (shout out the Hawaii connect DJ LV and Joseph Future!).  We had such an amazing time and cannot thank Make A Wish enough for giving us this opportunity. Taking 530’s seat this week is a Very Special Guest who has been an integral part of the bass scene in Downtown Las Vegas for the last 8 years the man himself Lonnie Hill aka Lion Eyes.  A long time coming we get to catch up with Lonnie on all things promotion and get a little teaser of some of the biggest bass shows to hit downtown coming up this year including a smasher this coming next week and the much anticipated return of DOOM TOWN LV.  So listen in and get all the info you need for this upcoming week and then some.     The Weekly Whats Update S5, Ep.4

    Grants gone!  But we have a very special guests sitting in this week who we get to chat with about all things happening after hours for his monthly event at EGO nightclub to EDC and then everything I’m between and coming after.  This week we have one our favorite producer/DJs in the hot seat the one and only Korsky.  The bois talk about his journey trough the days of trudging vinyl around to working the local Vegas DJ circuit all the way to the present grind doing it 100 and going the producer route and making his own originals. Its EDC week!  FML its going to be a long one, unfortunately we will not be attending but Korsky will be front and center getting the full experience this year thanks to his good homie who he’s worked with in the past and will be continuing into the future.  Who are you all stoked to see this year!?  The line up is nuts as usual and we will be doing the before and after all week long at our Corner Bar properties from kick off parties to even the Bassrush Massive afters so listen in and get the 411 on where to be his week in DTLV!  Be safe out there this weekend its going to be a hot one, stay hydrated and stay with your friends and have a great EDC week!     The Weekly Whats Update S5 Ep3

    We are back finally after a much needed little break with Grant landing back in Sin City via Detroit and then going straight into Cinco de Mayo weekend shenanigans.  We finally get to all sit back in the studio and catch up on all the things as well as welcome two very special guests this week Brock G and A.C.esme in the hot seats talking all things Bodywork LV for their upcoming 5 year anniversary aka Bodyversary at Discopussy!  Also a big congratulations goes out to Ashe and her now wife for tying the knot this last week in none other than the Neonopolis itself!  We were more than stoked to sit down and talk about why they do what they do and how they view Bodywork as not just an event but a safe space for all to come and be themselves or even leave themselves at the door for a night and become anything their heart desires.   Much love to our LGBTQIA+ community and we are hoping to see many more events involving the culture on the radar in the upcoming future in downtown Las Vegas.  Also keep an eye out for the Bodywork compilation coming out in June, you will be able to download it via Bandcamp early on Sunday the day of the 5 year anniversary and its loaded with talent so make sure to check it out!     The Weekly Whats Update S5 Ep.2

    We made it back from Coachella!  Shaun and I made a 24 hour full send Sunday of day 3 and it was quite the trip getting to squeeze in an entire day of festivities including some of our favorite acts of the moment!  This week we bring another Very Special Guest to the Corner Bar Studios with an OG of Downtown and around town the super talented and definition of an all around good soul Mr. Neek Lopez.  The founder of the grooviest party to hit Vegas, Paradise Fever Disco and a voice on the very popular 5on5 Podcast.     The Weekly Whats Update S5. Ep.1

    Season 5 Ep. 1 We made it to Season 5!  How many seasons of anything get better with a season 5?  We have another Very Special Guest in the building non other than one of our favorite Corner Bar AV crew and residents at one of the hottest downtown venues in DTLV, the one the only JDHD.  We get to know a little behind the mind of one of the fastest up and coming DJs in the scene from his music stylings in the open format world to his super popular K-Pop night he puts on that goes absolutely bananas with the kids.  Did someone say Coachella?  I’m sure you have heard  it for the last month that everyone and their moms will be heading to Palm Springs the next coming two weeks to get extremely lit and sun burned out on the Empire Polo fields for the first official kick off Festival of the actual Festival season… COACHELLLLA.  We will be doing a full recap of the happenings of all our friends and fam going out there this week as well as Shaun and myself heading out Sunday to fully send it for the last day of weekend 1 (including all the afters).  So wish us luck!  Also we give you the lowdown on what’s going down this weekend in downtown for all the NOchella crews there’s still plenty happening to keep you busy in Sin City so tune in for the lowdown.  Stay safe out there, hydrate, sunscreen, NARCAN, know your limits and stay with your friends!  See you downtown or in Indio this weekend!     The Weekly Whats Update S4 Season Finale

    The Weekly Whats Update S4 Ep9

    Season 4 Ep. 9  How many more shows on season 4?  Who knows maybe we can just make it season 4 for the rest of the duration of this podcast but the main thing is, we are BACK!  And we have a very special guests sitting in the hot seat this week with Lio Rich aka L Rich formerly known as Lio Sounds added to the mix this week and also giving us he 411 on what his current and next moves are going to be in 2024.   We survived the green beer blood bath also know as St Patty’s weekend where pretty much anything goes all weekend and are now officially into Spring 24'.  From another amazing sundown set at We All Scream to fun filled night with legendary producer and mashup maker Nick Bike this last weekend was quite the party that we are all still feeling the residuals from.  Has anyone ver had the pleasure of seeing a fairy shrimp on the Playa?  Burning Man prep is taking over my snowboarding time which means winter is officially over.  Who is going out to the playa this year?  Leave a comment or drop you camp coordinates.  How many times has Grant seen Dune 2?  Find out this Friday at Discopussy when the homies play our first ever Locals Love event during Miami Music week so expect everyone who couldn’t make it out to the east coast this year to be in the house!  From Dubsetp to Hard Techno DTLV has got you covered so tune in to stay in the know of what’s to come this and every weekend!
