    Our breath is one of our most powerful tools for healing, awareness, and even life expectancy. 


     


    We take about 25,000 breaths per day yet many of us have no idea the power our breath can hold when we focus on it and allow it to help us feel and heal trauma, anxiety, illness, and more.


     


    Today I’m sitting down with breathwork facilitator and CEO of Pause Breathwork, Samantha Skelly to share with us the incredible healing power of something we all have free access to; our breath.


     


    Years ago Samantha Skelly found herself at a very dark and painful place in her life, she was struggling with depression, chronic anxiety, an eating disorder, and completely out of touch with her body. She sought out a world-renowned healer in Bali (yes, the exact one in Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert) and he told her that her “brain was broken” and she needed to meditate. 


     


    When she arrived late to the meditation class, all that was left was a breathwork class. She left that class a completely different person and knew the world needed to know about and experience breathwork.


     


    Samantha has since founded Pause Breathwork, the world’s leading breathwork facilitator and is on a mission to reduce human suffering by increasing human consciousness through the power of breathwork.

    Have you ever hated your body? Or maybe you always have? We start receiving messages and comments about our bodies at a very young age. Those messages we receive, whether from media or the people in our lives directly or indirectly, imprint the way we think about and view ourselves and our bodies later on as pre-teens, teenagers, and adults. This has led to generations and generations of women struggling with eating disorders, body dysmorphia, and body hate.






    Today I’m sitting down with Jenna Rammell, wife, mama, CEO of The Daily Essential Co., blogger at @jennaskitchen, a Presidential Diamond with Doterra Essential Oils, and a woman who has a story that so many can relate to; growing up hating her body and believing she was not enough.

You NEED to Listen to this Show!

I have been listening to this podcast for about two months now and I am so thankful to have found them! I just listened to episode 35 which talks about anxiety, which is something I personally struggle with a lot, and learned so much information and tips that I cannot wait to try. The guests on all of these episodes are so wonderful and intelligent. The host asks amazing questions and does such a great job at directing the flow of their conversation. I truly look forward to each new episode they release! This IS my happy place for wellness!

Oils, crystals, and happiness… oh my!

I am relatively new to Whimsy and Wellness as a brand, and I didn’t immediately start to listen to the podcast, but I did finally listen to the sleep episode after seeing it on Haylee’s Instagram Stories and it has helped me so much establish a healthier and more restorative sleep routine! With so much improvement in my sleep, I went back to episode 1 and have listened to almost every episode! I just have to say that the content is really amazing, Meg’s voice makes me happy, and I have incorporated a lot of new healthier routines, mantras, oils and crystals into my daily life. So happy I gave that first episode a listen and looking forward to listening to many more!
