Love this grounding way of exploring your voice

I listened to the first few episodes a couple weeks ago and could not stop thinking about it. I thought about it every day for a week until the next episode. These concepts resonate with me so much. I just love the idea of your voice expressing your true self and using it as self-care. It can be so meditative, and one of the times I feel my truest self emerge is when I'm singing. I love the concept too that your voice is not just literally your singing voice, and it's important to care for and cultivate the other parts of your voice too. As someone with a lot of existential pain over this last year, I was finding myself connecting a lot with some of the things Allie said, given my desire to explore my own sense of purpose more deeply and fully.

In the episode where she talks about connecting to your inner voice, I’m reminded of one of my favorite techniques in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy called the Wise Mind. The episode was so helpful in practicing connecting with that part. I work with adolescents and can imagine this podcast would be great for them to explore these concepts as it is clear and easily understood. I will definitely continue to listen. Thank you to Allie for sharing this wisdom with us!
