Love for Angela Doll Carlson's "The Wilderness Journal"

I do not listen to many podcasts, so the ones I choose to listen to have to be exceptional. The Wilderness Journal is indeed exceptional. I think one of the reasons I love this podcast so much is because it is genuine, real, and relatable. For example, her "Why Worry?" podcast, which I have listened to twice now, feels like a conversation I would have with one of my closest friends. The topic is talked about from not only an Orthodox perspective, but a flawed humanity perspective - but it does not just stay within the realm of why we worry, it is a lighthearted and poignant peek inside the heart and mind of someone just like me - a parent, a person, who does not want to be consumed by worry yet often feels that way. Angela explores her topic(s) and what it means within the context of a real, lived out faith that is often challenging and frought with many valleys as well as many peaks, and she does so with wisdom, humor, and transparency. I highly recommend subscribing to this series, The Wilderness Journal - and as an avid reader as well, you might check out her book, Nearly Orthodox, because I think it gives you a deep insight into Angela's path and her journey, that much like our own, never really ends. It is comforting to know that we are not alone and that we are all in this together.
