    Episode 44: College Series Kick-Off — Boston College Students on Furry Professors and Woke Campus Life; Plus, Tucker Firing Reaction

    Welcome to Episode 44! We have a special show for the listeners. We brought on two students from Boston College, which was recently in the news for their Furry Professor, who assigned students to come to class in furry suits while teaching a "Beast Literature" course. In addition to that story, we touch on more Woke campus life, including how the school is turning their back on their Catholic values, how DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) initiatives are elevated over everything else, and a check-in on just how woke professors and the student body are today. Instead of simply covering this obvious #WokeInTheWild furry story earlier on the show, we decided to reach out to the university students to talk.     Episode 39: Why is Everyone So Unhappy? With Special Guest Joey from the Canadian Bitcoiners Podcast

    Welcome to a special Episode 39! For a wide ranging conversation about the current sad state of affairs in Western Society, we brought in friend of the show Joey from the Canadian Bitcoiners Podcast. Joey routinely provides astute commentary on his podcast and Twitter feed, and we think our listeners will appreciate hearing his perspective on a variety of topics.  There’s been a decline in expectations in society. Lazy parenting and our education system are failing younger generations. Raising kids has been outsourced to the state, teachers and media - which often don’t have their best interests at heart. And children aren't being protected from addictions to technology and social media. (Start-34:20)  Why are men in such trouble? They're increasingly addicted to drugs, have fewer friends and aren't graduating from college. There's also been a deterioration of relations between men and women, resulting in less family formation and increased loneliness. (34:20-53:05)  High school girls are depressed at alarming rates. Social media, unrealistic media standards and porn are contributing to a sexualized society with less people having sex, hurting both men and women. Couples are taking relationships less seriously in a search for instant gratification. (53:05-1:06:45)  Taylor Lorenz's latest tweets exemplify today's doomsday messaging. Kids today are told they can’t climb out of poverty and that climate change will end the world. Is it really capitalism run amok, or do people not have correct information about the current economy and society? (1:06:45-1:13:45) There’s a place for government to help, but how much is too much? Are we overly relying on the government rather than ourselves? Are we perpetuating a culture of reliance? (1:13:45-1:21:05)  Joey gives us a check-in on Canada. There's been a “vibe shift” where more people are realizing Canada has real issues in their economy, on crime, with politicians and more. (1:21:05-1:34:25) We finish with Joey's bitcoin outlook. We’re in a late stage fiat money era where the USD is losing global hegemony and our politicians are looting from taxpayers, which is getting people interested in a non-government controlled money. People are looking for a better way to store wealth, and many are just one step away from the realization that bitcoin may the the answer. (1:34:25-end) Thanks for listening!
