I listen to these guys talk for three hours about a video game I’ll never play, and I love it

This is one of the best podcasts I’ve found in a while. All three of these guys are hilarious and their dynamic is really fun.

that whit guy sure is a jerk but i love listening to some rowdy fellas make fun of him. i’ve kind of always been a heretical unbeliever (but in a cool way where i just don’t care, not in a ricky gervais way that’s really annoying.) but i guess growing up in north texas was enough to leave residual scars of 90s fundamentalist christian media that have long since festered into a strange fascination with the whole affair. deep dives into the bizarre world of christian media are already kind of my wheelhouse but the perspective this podcast brings is definitely the draw for a communist marxist sinful lgbt menace such as myself. i remember things like the donut man, mac and me, and who could forget adventures in odyssey. As a radio show nerd I even kind of liked it, but wow, was it ever even more nuts than my child brain remembered. the whit’s endless summer series within a series is some of my most favorite podcast content in recent listens. i’ll be praying for you… to have a great time listening to this podcast!

Listened to a dozen or so episodes now and what I like is they riff about the main story but build social context on why that story came to be. It builds a bigger picture on why a think of media exists as opposed to just talking about a video game or movie
