    Case #75 – Parawing Beat Down

    It's been a whole summer. A whole summer of testing, riding, and teasing the market nobody explicitly asked for, but we have an opinion to share obviously. The parawing market has been moving fast, people are in the upgrade phase, and Walt and I have been putting in the work so you don't have to guess so much. Some wings get more love than others, and some get a beat down, but that's because they earned both. Let me summarize a bit. The Ozone Afterburner, highest priced on the market right now, so they better deliver. The PPC Orbit, our favorite high end parawing for sailing upwind downwind when you want that extra good feel. The Naish Hatch V2, our overall favorite wing of the whole test based on performance, price and useability, and yeah we said what we said. The F-One Quest, possibly the best beginner parawing out there, and how it stacks up side by side against the Pocket Rocket V2 might surprise you. The Frigate V2, no news, not out yet, but the expectations are high and we had thoughts on their release timing. Walt and I don't always agree, but on a few of these we were on exactly the same page.     Feels like he came out of nowhere, but after you get to talking with Trent and see the results, you realize he absolutely belongs there. Came to race and left with some great results this year.     Case 72: Tomoko Vs Kaiwi Channel

    Tomoko just did the thing. First time M20. Not only did she finish the M20 in some of the most unforgiving conditions they've seen in a while, she did extremely well in all the races leading up. What makes this one different is the journey that got her there. Every downwind session, every suffer-fest, every "why am I doing this" moment — turns out wether she knew it or not, was a perfect recipe for this race. We didn't plan to get emotional, it feels a but inspiring. Gear came up briefly but honestly that wasn't the point.     Case 68 — Greg's Back, with his S3 D-Grip parawing

    Greg is back. Fourth time on the show, and at this point he might as well have a reserved seat. Like always we keep it casual, Xfoils style. No script, no slides, just three people who love to parawing and talking about what it's like to ride the BRM S3 — the latest generation parawing from BRM, the brand that started the whole category. Talking point this episode: the new D-Grip handle. Shovel handle was taken, so Greg went with the next best thing — and it turns out it actually makes a lot of sense.
