In John 15 we find the story and mystery of the vine and the branches. Just as a branch draws life and sustenance from the vine, we find purpose, life, and strength in a relationship with Jesus. Jesus is the TRUE vine. Branches don’t exist without the vine. As young adults, we want to look more like Jesus and be a branch that bears much fruit. How do we do that? How many of your friends pick up an ancient text book everyday and read it? Probably, none of them! That would be really weird. But let's be honest, that's what Christians are supposed to do and if we are being honest, it can be really difficult. But when you do, when you actually read it and get into the story of the Bible, it does something to you that no other book can do. It transforms you!

What makes the tongue so dangerous? It's dangerous because words reveal a lot about who we are. As young adults, we often profess faith in Jesus but have words that are incongruent with the Jesus we profess. Can we find wisdom in how we use our words so that our faith and words match up? Andrew Bush, Student Director at Saylorville Church, shares wisdom we can find in the book of James as we tackle the dangers of the tongue.
