Three Los Angeles based theatre makers dissect, debate and disseminate works of the great Playwrights as well as anything and everything of, or related to, the art of Theatre.
Main Feed:
Each week the nerds get together and discuss 3 plays by a specific playwright as well as their cultural impact and context in the hosts' own personal lives. Also they spotlight the beautifully burgeoning LA Theatre Scene as it grows into the new home for experimental theatre makers.
Bonus Series:
Between each Playwright a bonus series called Theatre Theater 'N Stuff! provides a break from play reading. The nerds get to choose a theatre adjacent topic for discussion.
Always interesting, sometimes vulgar and never too serious these three friends may just convince you to like reading plays again.

Pure Podcast Pleasure
Much like a fine glass of port and a delicious slice of Black Forest Cake , this podcast is pure undiluted pleasure. There’s nothing like the moment that Bailey starts to rank stuff. CJ really is that incredible blend of awesomeness, a little Bette Davis and your best friend who knows absolutely everything. As for Scott, he’s the wise godfather who introduced you to good scotch, Anias Nin, Star Wars and Tom Petty. He knows everything and has the perspective that breaks theater down to its most unique elements. This is the podcast everyone needs!!!!!!
A Painful Waste of Time
I don’t know where to begin. The podcast is a bunch of people sitting around rambling on incessantly without ever getting to a point. As an Edward Albee fan, I was excited to see a program about Albee’s “A Zoo Story”. I suffered through nearly an hour of inane chatter, wondering if they were ever going to actually discuss the play. They did eventually get around to talking about the play for a few minutes.
They literally could cut 95% of the program without losing anything substantive. The remaining 5% isn’t worth the time either. Find something better to do with your time.
Estragon and Vladimir would be relieved:
Not much waiting is necessary with these theatre nerds, since the content (to use the parlance of our times) flows like an endless stream of joyous insight, uncomfortable anatomical humor, hard earned theatre wisdom, and just a dash of self loathing to keep things rustled. I much love this podcast and look forward to every series, and I want these players, interpreters, directors, and creators of the stage to know just how amazed this theatre obsessive is with the quality and output of their work. You have made these turbulent times - which followed other turbulent times, and which will be followed by more turbulent times - so much more comfortable in the loneliest hours when sleep is telling me to piss off, or when I’m sitting by the side of an empty road on a pile of battered stones beside a long dead tree. I leave the rope at home and on purpose now. Thank you good people quaquaquaqua…
