    This was a very tender day. Clyde took the train up, I picked him up, and somehow we made a show. I was heartbroken, exhausted, and moving through the day like a bit of a zombie. (TBH, I was a wreck… held together by safety pins.) But Clyde came through with stories, warmth, honesty, and so much laughter. I’m so grateful for longtime friends who meet you exactly where you are. And somehow, Marc has been in the room for every show since. Love you, Clyde.     August 3, 2016 Kevin Wilkins joined Desiree on the show, when she was broadcasting from WTR Radio. Kevin is incredibly talented writer, innovator, zine maker., skateboarder, husband, father.....a staple in the skateboarding worlds. November 5, I woke to the passing of Kevin after a five year battle with cancer. I should say I and the entire skateboarding community. This show never loaded, quotes from friends included Andy Jenkins, Ed Dominick, Grant Britain and....Thank you Kevin for the gift of working with you, your friendship, support, all the beautiful witty words and all the gifts you shared with us. My heart, prayers and thoughts are with Cheryl, the boys, Paddy and the entire Wilkins Family. Show originally aired live was with NFL Michael Booker. Sound quality not the best at WTR.....so this is raw and unedited.

    Flash Back from March 20, 2018 Dr Jen Welter joined me again on the show. Also hits on Vans Women's Combi, quick wrap up on Vans, 'Get On Board: A celebration of Women's Skateboarding' the show I curated, MC'd and was moderator for. A vien that I started that show off with was a quote from Michelle Tafoya, as we also honor international women's day ( a bit delayed). "I never went into it [the business] thinking 'I'm a female sports reporter'. I just went into it thinking 'I'm a sports reporter'. No chip on the shoulder, no feeling like a victim when you walk in, no feeling entitled when you walk in. You've just got to do your job and work extremely hard. I think it's very basic. There's no magic to it. I think honestly it comes down to how badly do you want it. How hard are you willing to work?" Dr Jen always with amazing insight, experience and inspiration, "The field of dreams for me was football" - Dr Jen Welter The Desiree SHOW the only place where the NFL and Skateboarding meet.
