    Conservation Psychology; Lizzie Francolini

    Lizzie Francoloni currently works as a therapist using Conservation and the outdoors as a therapeutic tool. After working in the social sector for many years, Lizzie retrained as a conservationist at Bristol University and it was soon obvious to her that she could combine these two elements, after quickly realising that conservation is a social issue. Episode 8 is the final episode of The Hive, and for the whole of this episode, Lizzie joined us to discuss how Conservation Psychology can be introduced at all levels of the work carried out within our sector.     We are heading across the pond for this episode! Join us as we explore how negative environmental behaviours impact nature and conservationists, and what solutions are out there. Featuring Professor Rick Stafford from Bournemouth University (check out more from Rick in episode 1), Eric Kramer-Webb, who works within the Joshua Tree National Park in California, and Author of 365 Days Wild and founder of A Focus On Nature; Lucy McRobert.     Visual Communications in Conservation

    Kendra Marjerrison studied Environmental Visual Communication at Fleming College in Ontario; an innovative study programme and qualification, developed in partnership with the Royal Ontario Museum. Kendra then went on to teach the course and now works as the Social Media and Graphics Assistant for the Hamilton Conservation Authority.  This episode covered the use of visual communications in Conservation, how with the use of a mobile phone camera and a bit of knowledge, that this resource can be used by anyone working to increase an audiences understanding and awareness of issues (or good news stories) around wildlife/environment and how Conservationists are working to solve them.
