Therapist Mom #4 - How to Write Songs: An Interview with Singer/Songwriter, Frances Lovett

Humans are born to be creative. However, everyone’s creative process is different. In today’s episode, hear from singer/songwriter Frances Lovett @franceslovettmusic about her journey writing songs and recording her first album while still in high school. Creativity is healing the mind, body, and spirit. Watch and listen to Frances share the steps of her creative process, including the struggles and wins along the way. I guarantee that she’ll inspire you to step outside your comfort zone, and tackle that dream that is niggling your heart. Not only is song-writing healing, singing is too. Singing has long been recognized as a powerful form of healing. When we sing, we engage our entire being—our breath, our voice, and our emotions. This holistic engagement can lead to significant physical and psychological benefits. On a physical level, singing improves lung function, enhances posture, and increases oxygenation of the blood, promoting overall cardiovascular health. Psychologically, singing acts as a natural antidepressant, reducing levels of cortisol and releasing endorphins and oxytocin, which foster feelings of happiness and bonding. Additionally, the act of singing, especially in groups, fosters a sense of community and belonging, reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness. This communal aspect can be particularly therapeutic, as it creates a supportive environment where individuals can express themselves freely. Whether through the soothing melodies of a lullaby or the exuberant harmonies of a choir, singing offers a unique and accessible path to healing that nurtures both the body and the soul. Therapist Mom #3 - What Your Dreams Mean: Interpreting Dreams and Stopping Nightmares

Do you wonder what your dreams mean? Dream interpretation has been part of psychotherapy and humanity for a long time. Curiosity has us desiring to unravel the subconscious messages they may contain. Therapists and dream interpreters explore symbols, emotions, and narratives within dreams to shed light on the dreamer's inner conflicts, desires, and experiences. They attempt to discover whether those dreams hold any messages for the dreamer, especially ones that might help them move forward in their healing and life goals. Jung proposed that dreams reflect collective human experiences and universal symbols. Do you remember your dreams? Do you know what they mean? In this episode, Dr. Jodi and Lily dive into what you must pay attention in order to decipher and interpret your dreams. With viewer examples and the call-in lines open, Dr. Jodi will interpret your dreams live on the air. After watching and listening, you’ll have the know-how you need to get rid of your nightmares and make your good dreams come true. Nightmares can affect the next day or even longer. Repeated nightmares are enough to make you not want to go to sleep, at all. They also affect the quality of your sleep. Learn what to do to stop them, for good. This technique has been tested with hundreds of clients over three decades. It works. When you attend Live, you get to ask Dr. Jodi your questions.
