He talks candidly about how personal grief and a feeling of frustration at British politics have led to a darker, more introspective elbow album, the forthcoming Giants Of All Sizes. Lucy Prebble

    Lucy Prebble

    Paul Weller

    Paul Weller

He discusses how his latest album, the acclaimed True Meanings, reflects on age and mortality, and reveals how a battered acoustic guitar provided the totemic inspiration behind some of his best loved songs, from That’s Entertainment to Wild Wood.

A True Music Lover

As an avid podcast listener, I’ve been on the lookout for a podcast with a great format that can toss occasional music at me on my dog walks. The structure of this podcast is absolutely thought-provoking while bringing very unique perspectives out of its guests. As a songwriter myself, I love hearing musicians talk about what inspires them and also the details behind the hard work of writing. John Wilson is skilled about bringing unique insights out of artists. On his podcast, I’ve listened to some of my all time favorites (like Natalie Merchant) and also been exposed to new artists. I can vastly appreciate the conversations even when the music isn’t exactly up my alley. To me, that is a sign of a timeless podcast prioritizing creativity in motion.

Love it!

You know an interview podcast is great when you still enjoy the episodes even if you’re not familiar with the guests. Unique concept and super interesting. So glad I found it!
