    A Message From The Boy

    Season 1 is officially coming to an end. This isn't a normal episode. There are no guests, no games, and no big debate. Just me reflecting on what it's really took to create This Ain't Advice for the last ten weeks. We're talking about what surprised me, what challenged me, the mistakes I made, the lessons I learned, and why I'm choosing to end Season 1 this way instead of forcing an episode that didn't feel right. If you've listened to even one episode this season, thank you. This podcast has taught me more than I ever expected, and I couldn't have done it without everyone who's watched, listened, shared, or supported the show. This isn't goodbye—it's just the end of Season 1. Season 2 is coming. As always... this ain't advice.

    This Ain't Advice Episode 11 0 Everybody Wants a Village Everybody says they want a village. We hear it all the time: "Nobody supports each other anymore." "I wish I had a community." "It takes a village." But if everyone wants connection, why do so many people feel alone? In a world dominated by social media, burnout, financial stress, and constant distractions, genuine community seems harder to find than ever. People are more connected digitally than at any point in history, yet loneliness continues to rise. So what happened? This week, we're diving into the state of modern community—why people struggle to show up for each other, how isolation impacts our lives, and whether we've confused independence with disconnection. We'll talk about the difference between being alone and being lonely, the role social media plays in our relationships, the dangers of finding yourself in the wrong community, and what older generations may have understood about connection that we've forgotten. Most importantly, we're asking a simple question: If everybody wants a village, why aren't we building one? Because at the end of the day, community can be one of the greatest forces in your life—or one of the most destructive. The people around you can shape your identity, challenge your beliefs, support your growth, or pull you further away from who you're trying to become. So let's talk about what it means to belong, what responsibility we owe the people around us, and what we can do today to create stronger connections in a world that feels increasingly disconnected. Because maybe the village isn't gone. Maybe we're just waiting for someone else to build it.

    Everybody wants a dog until it’s 3 AM, there’s throw up on the carpet, the vet bill is $2,400, and suddenly, your entire emotional stability depends on a creature that eats socks. But nobody talks about the reality of having a dog. The vet bills, the PUPPY stage, the laughs, and the tears. The Pattern Nobody Talks About- Identity We all say we have a “type.” We talk about standards, what we want, what we deserve… But if you look at your actual track record  do your actions match what you say?
