    Dr. Andrea Johnson wants to improve the lives of adolescents living with advanced cancer. She researches quality of life in this group of patients. Andrea is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto and a Research Fellow at the Hospital for Sick Children.      Joe Kim is an Associate Professor in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour at McMaster University and is actively involved in the science of teaching and learning.  The McCall MacBain Postdoctoral Fellows Teaching and Leadership Program is a 1-year postdoctoral training program aiming to build the next generation of high-performing teachers, researchers, and leaders.

    Dr. Amir Foroozan wants to convert carbon emissions to fuel.  He's searching for an electrochemical way of turning CO2 into a fuel. Amir was part of the 2023/2024 cohort of the McCall MacBain Postdoctoral Fellows Teaching & Leadership Program.     Polar bears live on sea ice but their habitat is melting due to climate change.     How antidepressants in water could change fish forever

    Dr. Andrew Thompson tells Dr. Joe Kim how our increasing consumption of antidepressants could be changing fish and other aquatic animals. The effect can last generations and Andrew says we need to act now to protect aquatic animals from our actions.   Dr. Andrew Thompson was a MITACS Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biology at McMaster University.
