I started listening to this pod shortly after meeting Heidi and Jenny at a Rett conference. As a newer diagnosed parent, I felt so supported by them as they helped answer the (many!) questions I had. The pod is just like talking to them in real life! Parenting a child with Rett isn’t simple or easy or straightforward and they help me get through the hard times with facts and also empathy

I really appreciate how Jenny and Heidi shine a light on such challenging topics with a sense of humor. These women have overcome so much and have such wisdom interlaced with silliness. It’s a breathe of fresh air.

The friendships we make on this special needs mom journey make it all so much easier and keep us sane. Love hearing these friends sharing, laughing, and chatting together about real life and real feelings. They are so fun!

I enjoy the podcast, I really do. There are times where the ladies each really fail to acknowledge their privilege, and it can be grating to hear it alongside their rather successful stories of navigating rett. Let’s be real, they have navigated it better than others. As a special needs parent, I just feel like it’s a really under treated topic on this podcast. Edited to add: I also wish Jenny was a little nicer. She is extremely patronizing to Heidi, interrupts (it’s maddening), and overall gives off this vibe that she’s…better/more knowledgeable/correct…it can be hard to listen to. At times I want to hear what Heidi has to say, but she’s eclipsed by Jenny’s talking over her.
