    Actress and singer/songwriter Shiah Luna talks "Jagged Little Pill" by Alanis Morissette

    Singer-songwriter and actress Shiah Luna shares her love of Alanis Morissette's 1995 album "Jagged Little Pill." It's an album that has kept Shiah moving forward when life took unexpected twists. And it's been fruitful: in just the last year, Shiah recently on the NBC series "Found," and also sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" in front of 19,000 rabid soccer fans at an Angel City FC game at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.   She just released her latest single, also titled "Found," which is a follow up to her 2023 release "Self Expression." It's a heartbreakingly beautiful song, which Shiah wrote at a time when she needed a new "personal anthem" about choosing to heal and being okay with the scars you accumulate along the way. Shortly after recording this episode, Shiah performed a concert at the Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles where she sang a cover of Alanis' "Head Over Feet"—Brian was there, and said it ruled. She's a talented guitarist and saxophonist. She has also been working on The Goodness Tour and the Reed Foundation which brings music and art therapy to anyone facing adversity.     Comedian Joel Chasnoff on "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by The Beatles

    Comedian Joel Chasnoff joins us from Israel, where he shares the story of his favorite album of all time: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles. Find out how as a young kid in Chicago, Joel came home from hanging out with a friend and implored his father to help him figure out how to hear that "Help From My Friends" song again. Spoiler: they figured it out. Listen as Joel facepalms about how Brian first heard about all of these songs from one of The Beatles' most eclectic albums.  As a comedian, Joel takes us back to his most impressionable days listening to Steve Martin at the local library.     Jeff Alulis Discusses "Dookie" by Green Day

    Our first guest on This Entire Album Podcast is bestselling author, musician and filmmaker Jeff Alulis. He and host Brian Fishbach go track-by-track discussing what they love about the 1994 multi-platinum selling Green Day album "Dookie." They cover the history of the album as well as the evolution of what the songs mean to society at large over the past 30 years.    Alulis co-authored the bestselling music memoir "NOFX: The Hepatitis Bathtub and Other Stories" as well the autobiography of The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger, "Set The Night On Fire." He's also known for his award-winning documentary, "Do You Remember? 15 Years of the Bouncing Souls," and from his days as lead singer of the legendary punk band Dead Kennedys (then known as "Jeff Penalty").
