Weekend Recap #1 - Hardcore Pride Weekend

This is something I've been thinking about doing for a while; in lieu of releasing an episode on Friday, do something for Monday morning after a long weekend.
I've got a video version of this that will be released alongside this audio version.

Episode 111 Mike Scondotto of Confusion

Mike Scondotto of Confusion (Inhuman, the Last Stand) has been a part of NYHC for a long time. I had a great time talking to him about the early days of growing up in Brooklyn in a house full of brothers, 4 out of 5 of which ended up being a part of the NYHC scene.
We go deep into MIke's love of Metal, hardcore, the early days of what would later become "metalcore". The story of Confusion is also told, with alot of lesser known facts.
With the re-issue of Confusion on vinyl via Generation Records and DAZE Style, it was awesome to hear the story from Mike and just talk about his opinion and insight from being around so many great moments early in NYHC history.

Episode 110 Hardcore Pride Weekend in Philly!!

I brought Carter of From Within Records, Statement of Pride etc & Lennon of every single band ever, and Plead Your Case zine back to the show to talk about their Hardcore Pride Weekend coming up March 24 & 25 in Philadelphia. Both have their own solo episodes that I hope you go back into the archives to check out.
Its amazing what people can put together when their hearts are in the right place and hearing these two guys talk about hardcore got me so excited about the weekend of shows.
