This is Ohio

I am loving this deceptively simple podcast. You go in thinking these are just small-town, feel-good stories, but each episode finds a way to touch the very core of community and heart of humanity, a connection I think we’re all in desperate need of these days. No offense to the producers/hosts, who do an excellent job of weaving these stories into a high quality finished product, but it’s the people we hear from, the “quietly heroic”ones telling their stories in their own words who are the clear and bright stars. They are what make this show shine, which seems exactly the point.

This is the podcast you listen to when you want to feel good about your community—because the hosts bring out the good in everyone they interview. They seem to delight in the people in their small towns.

I just discovered this podcast last week and I found myself binging all of the episode episodes during a recent drive through Ohio’s farmland. I’m so taken by the thoughtfulness of these episodes and by the care evident in their production. There’s a quiet poignancy to all of them. Really love and am glad to have discovered this show. More, please.

Found this gem of a show a few days ago and I have to say I can’t put it down. This podcast connects with you on a deep level that makes me feel like I actually do live in a small town in ohio. Both hosts have smooth voices that feel familiar like you could sitting with them on a porch in late June. Highly recommend it to anyone in need of a new listen. Five out of five stars
