But what about the deeper layer—the self-judgment that keeps you hiding parts of yourself because you’ve decided they’re too ugly, too bad, too weird, too gross to be seen? In this deeply vulnerable episode, Meg shares her journey from childhood body shame to secret binging, and the moment her partner said “No shit!” when he finally learned what she’d been hiding for years. This isn’t about becoming perfect—it’s about cutting away the belief that certain parts of your humanity are unacceptable and too shameful to be loved. Assumptions are at the root of so many relationship struggles. We assume we know what our partner meant, so we get defensive. We assume we know their intentions, so we judge them. We assume we know how they feel, so we react—without ever checking if any of it is actually true.
