Back to Basics: Born to Become

Every person who becomes a disciple must first become a child of God. Any person that comes to God asking Him to be their master must receive His power to become His child. Being an authentic child of God also allows you to enter and see God's kingdom. Discipleship cannot take place if God's power hasn't made you His child. For a person to be transformed into the image and likeness of Christ they must have the seed of God. God's seed in a person makes it possible for a man to learn Christ and become like Him. Spiritual transformation is impossible for a natural man to understand or take part in. Has God empowered you to become His child? If so, then God's next calling is for you to come into a discipleship relationship with Him. Thank you for joining us for this episode. Back to Basics: Discipleship's Entry Point

The entry point of any discipleship relationship is to first be with Jesus. Nobody can become a disciple without being commissioned to be with Him. Jesus called the twelve to primarily be with Him. The secondary reason was to be sent out. Discipleship is not about 'doing' God's work. No man is equipped to do anything for God if they haven't first sat down to be with Him. If you are currently 'doing' but haven't 'sat' then your works are not sponsored by God. No calling is more important than first being with Jesus. This is every disciple's primary goal in discipleship. When you come to sit and learn then Jesus has a decision to send you out. Being sent is not a guarantee. This is why must be content with being with Him. Thank you for joining us for this episode. Here at Remnant Productions, we look to help develop, grow, and sustain, your relationship with God. Back to Basics: Coming to Rest

The Lord Jesus's first call was to rest from all burdens of life. When we choose to come to Him, He gives us rest from sin and the world system. However, Jesus calls again to learn of Him. Once you've learned to be like Him you receive a secondary rest. The second rest is rest for our souls in heaven. This rest comes once we've taken the yoke of discipleship and have chosen to learn from Him. If you should refuse the second rest your soul will be in restless thirst. Discipleship is the only process that can produce a soulish rest The training that discipleship brings is for our lives to look like Jesus, that we may rest with Him at the right hand of the Father. Will you enter or forfeit this opportunity? Thank you for joining us for this episode. Here at Remnant Productions, we look to help develop, grow, and sustain, your relationship with God. Back to Basics: Mysteries in the Mountain

Jesus went up on a mountain to teach but not everyone followed. Only those who were disciples did. Our discipleship begins once we've chosen to lay down conveniences and excuses to follow Him. You cannot be a disciple and never go up to meet the Lord. The multitude stayed at the ground level and received no revelation of the Word. You too will struggle to receive revelation if you don't separate yourself from the crowd. Jesus wants to meet with His disciples in private. The multitude find going the extra mile unnecessary. If you do not differentiate yourself from the multitude then you'll be swept away by the crowd and miss the revelations of the Christ life. What say ye? Thank you for joining us for this episode. Back to Basics: A Disciple's Commission

What is the assignment of a disciple? It is simply to produce, make, and birth more disciples. This is our call. It is not to have fun church services, or relaxing vacations. It is to bring more people into the yoke of Christ. We are also commanded to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This word baptism doesn't mean 'sprinkle with water'. It means to immerse something, in order to take on the character and likeness of it. Our call is to bring people into the same nature and image of the Godhead. The last thing we are called to do is to teach. What has your personal discipleship with Christ taught you? If you have yet to be taught, then you have nothing to share. If we are unable to teach others, then we will fail to answer the call Christ left us. Thank you for joining us for this episode. Back to the Basics: Being with Jesus

Every person called into discipleship is first called to be with Jesus. Many want to come into discipleship for things, gifts and anointings. A gift will not last if you do not have the life to sustain it. It is not to preach or do works, but to sit down at the feet of Jesus and learn of Him. Only when you've sat down to learn can you take the practical step in taking the yoke of Christ. The goal of discipleship is to become like Jesus. It is through being with Him that we can learn and be trained to become like Him. Every convert must become a disciple. Every disciple must be converted to the image and likeness of Christ. This is what God set out for us when He sent His Son. It is our willing choice that will determine who we will or will not become. Thank you for joining us for this episode. Back to Basics: Yoked with Christ

After a person has come into Christ they receive rest. Jesus gives rest to every person who has chosen to come to Him. Rest isn't all that He wants us to receive. The next step is for us to come into a discipleship relationship with Jesus. In this relationship we find rest for our souls. It is this second 'rest' that many church people fail to receive. The first rest can only give you freedom to continue to follow Christ in a discipleship relationship. It is in discipleship that we are able to be conformed to the image and likeness of Christ. Void of discipleship a person can never become who God intended them to be. The pursuit of every person in discipleship is to become like Jesus. If you fail to keep this focus, then you will become something else like Judas. Thank you for joining us for this episode. Back to Basics: Levels of Learning

There are levels of learning that every child of God must enter into. The first is blade level. This is the most basic stage and focuses on 'understanding'. What a child of God understands from the Word of God is dictated on their understanding of the scripture. At this stage a person must pursue proper knowledge of the Word. The second level is the ear stage. This is how a child of God will develop on what they have learned. At this point water is needed for the seed to continue growing. Consistency is the only way to fully complete this stage of learning. Without consistency a person's level of understanding cannot grow. It takes a continual pursuit of the word of God in order to properly understand it and apply it to life. The last stage is the grain. At this point a child of God can properly look into the Word for spiritual needs and lack. At this level it has become easier to take the Word and apply it causing fruitfulness. If these stages have not been understood or implemented, it can cause frustration and spiritual immaturity. Thank you for joining us for this episode.
