This Week's Magic: 7/12-7/18

We're back after a short hiatus, and we're returning during one of the most astrologically significant stretches of the decade. This episode opens with a reflection on Dr. Lisa Miller's question about whether we have a spiritual biological clock, and what that might mean for how we understand astrology as a timing mechanism for collective and personal evolution. Then we get into the astrology. The New Moon in Cancer on July 14th at 22 degrees sets the tone for everything that follows, with its Sabian Symbol of a woman awaiting a sailboat as the organizing metaphor for this entire moment. Mercury retrograde conjunct the lunation means whatever we're planting isn't new, it's something that's been circling, finally getting named. We do a full breakdown of André Barbault, his Cyclic Index, and what the Barbault Basket actually means and doesn't mean for this period. This Week’s Magic: 5/24-5/30

We close out May with one of the most significant weeks of the month. The week opens gently with Sun sextile Neptune on Sunday night, dreamy and intuitive. Tuesday is a tale of two halves, Mars square Pluto at midnight brings friction and power struggles, then the Sun trines Pluto by midday for depth and clarity. Don't write Tuesday off based on how it starts. Wednesday brings a rare thirteen plus hour void of course moon, we break down what void of course means, why it happens, and what to do with a full day of that energy. Thursday, Ceres moves into Gemini and we introduce her properly alongside her mythology, plus Venus squares Saturn for a reality check around love and commitment. And Sunday closes the month with a Blue Moon Full Moon in Sagittarius at 10 degrees, opposing Uranus, squaring the nodes, and asking whether your beliefs are actually aligned with where you're headed. This Week's Magic: 5/17-5/23

This week three personal planets change signs, Mercury into Gemini, Mars into Taurus, Venus into Cancer, plus the Sun moves into Gemini on Wednesday. It sounds like a lot of movement and it is, but the overall invitation is actually to slow down, get grounded, and use this week as a training ground before June picks up the pace significantly. We also do a sidebar on personal planets vs outer planets and how the fast moving ones amplify whatever the slower ones already have brewing. Tuesday is the standout day of the week with Mercury trine Pluto, Mercury sextile Neptune, and Venus sextile Mars all at once, great energy for deep conversations, creative flow, and connection. Friday is a little up and down with Venus square Neptune in the morning, a surprising Sun conjunct Uranus midday, and Mercury sextile Saturn helping you find your footing. The week closes with the First Quarter Moon in Virgo, your first check in on those Taurus new moon intentions from last Saturday. How are you actually caring for yourself? Not theoretically. This Week’s Magic: 5/10-5/16

After last week's heaviness, this week is the exhale that actually turns into momentum. Sun sextile Jupiter on Mother's Day kicks things off with warm, nourishing energy. Tuesday and Wednesday bring a string of Mercury aspects that open up communication, clarity, and big ideas, with one gentle reminder not to overpromise when the vibes are this good. We also do a full introduction to Vesta, the asteroid of sacred devotion, who moves into Aries on Tuesday for an unusually long nine month stay, the longest since 2015. Plus a quick explainer on Sabian Symbols, where they came from and how to use them. And we close the week with one of the more uplifting new moons of the year, a New Moon in Taurus at 26 degrees with a beautiful Sabian Symbol, strong supportive aspects, and a grounding ritual to help you manifest from the right place. This week has friction with a purpose. Mars squares Jupiter on Sunday asking you to find the balance between urgency and emotional sensitivity. Monday's Mercury square Pluto is charged, watch your conversations and use the tension as a flashlight on the stories running your subconscious. Tuesday Pluto stations retrograde in Aquarius, shifting transformation from external to internal, and we break down exactly who feels it most this year. We also do a quick sidebar on all four moon phases and why they all matter, plus a flag on May being a two full moon month.
