Ep. 147 || The Shout Out Show!

On this episode, we gave shout outs to the people and things that have helped us become who we are today. Our shout outs stretch throughout our lives and are given to abusive parents (yes, really), women pastors, quality friends, fitness tools, and of course our wives. We wouldn't be where we are today without y'all!

You'll also hear about WHOOP, the fitness tracker (and so much more) that we all use. Get a free WHOOP 4.0 and your first month free when you join with my link: https://join.whoop.com/#/26368E

Threads 146 || Ben and Jason talk about a stolen bike, relationship dynamics, rage, and a dead body.

Buckle up, this episode is a bit of a doozy! Ben and Jason catch up on life and along the way debrief some challenges they encountered in their friendship. Listen in as Ben shares how his bike was stolen, and returned! Jason shares about how things are going in his relationships as he seeks to be more calm and level headed. The guys also explore some ongoing conversations between them and their friend Mike, who Ben went to college with.

Ben and Jason wrap things up by giving a mental health update. Ben went completely off script, which threw Jason for a loop!

On this show we mention this scale that Mike encouraged Ben to buy -- check it out, it is amazing: https://amzn.to/39cCj1k

Ep. 145 || Unfiltered talk about covid-19, mask mandates, and more

Ep. 145 || Unfiltered talk about covid-19, mask mandates, and more

Sometimes you need a space to just get everything off your chest. That is what this episode was for Ben & Jason. This episode was recorded after the governing bodies of two local counties were angrily confronted by anti-maskers. We debrief some of their comments and offer our own opinions on current events.

Gear up for some seriously unfiltered conversation. We let it all out there and you're left to sort it together and make sense of it. Have fun with that ;-)

Ep. 144 || Friend & returning guest Megan D. joins us to chat about her mental health journey

Ep. 144 || Friend & returning guest Megan D. joins us to chat about her mental health journey

It is so great to reconnect with former guests! Listen as Megan D. catches us up on her mental health journey. In addition to focusing on her mental health, Megan has also been an ongoing source of behind the scenes encouragement to Jason and Ben as they continue to grind away at producing Threads. It was a blast having her back in studio. Her authenticity is refreshing!

If you are in the Grand Rapids area and need work done on your vehicle, be sure to take it to Ervines Auto Repair and say hi to Megan while you're there.

Ep. 142 || One of us has covid, the other is overwhelmed. Ben talks about ending therapy - for now. Wrestling intro songs and what makes Jason feel alive (or not)

Listen in as we record remotely - thanks covid. We had a great conversation digging into why it is difficult for Jason to identify a time when he felt most alive. Ben talks church and plays a clip from that day's church service. Jason shares about the intentional work he and Meaghan are doing to improve their relationship - even when it is hard. We ask each other 2 questions  and enjoy putting the other on the spot to answer without any time to think.

Smart, witty, and relevant.

Let me start by saying that I look forward to Ben’s sewing pun of the day. A great way to start. These guys are super vulnerable about faith, family, and ... food. (Felt like I needed another “f” in there. Sorry. Check it out. You’ll find something you can relate / connect to.

Enjoy this podcast

This is a truly great podcast that makes more of an impact than Jason and Ben probably realize. The focus on mental health, relationships, support, and spirituality has continually drawn me back week after week. It challenged me to keep with therapy after my therapist retired and to not give up because it is hard. Listening to the struggles and hearing the growth of these guys through the seasons has been inspirational. Keep up the great work… and thank you.

This podcast is awesome

These guys are funny, real, and open-minded. They talk about Christianity from a personal point of view, not a preachy one, and their guests are so diverse. Really great show. Funny, honest.
