Great podcast and a clarification
Awesome podcast with 2 people who really know their stuff. And a bit of a clarification.
Charlie would have graduated in 1991. He attended Hogwarts from 1984-1991. Also in Prisoner of Azkaban Oliver says Gryffindor hasn’t won the Quidditch Cup in 7 years. Meaning the last time they would have won the quidditch cup is 1986. When Charlie would have been a 3rd year. Oliver didn’t start Hogwarts until 1987.

Thank you so much to the Carlin Brothers for doing this podcast. You two bring insightful conversations and reflections on my favorite series of all time.
And in defense of the food: potatoes are just the best. Even wizards know it to be true. Every form magical in its own right. In fry, baked, mashed, or scalloped form! And I also don’t blame Harry for going for the porridge. Another reliably satisfying carb made tasty with sugar.

Absolutely love this podcast! There’s no better start to my day than listening to you two discuss Harry Potter while I get ready for school. Question: do you think the school notified Hermione’s parents when she got petrified? I assume that they occasionally wrote to her during the school year since she’s 12 and didn’t even go home for Christmas. Unlike with most injuries, petrification lasted a while. How would the school explain what happened to muggles? Wouldn’t they want to visit their daughter?
