I listened to the whole series within a day and a half. So great, I couldn’t stop. Draws you in and gives you a vivid imagery, might as well be on HBO/Max. I wasn’t raised Christian but Christian, gay, straight, or none, so insightful and thought provoking. Thank you for sharing your story with us! Loved this

Matt’s account of his journey through a conservative faith and theology to a place of love and acceptance of himself as a queer man of faith is riveting. I couldn’t stop listening to each step and gained insights into my own journey. So many light bulb moments as he vulnerably shares the beautiful and heartbreaking moments from start to finish. A must listen and a must share.

I was sent this podcast by a client of mine and wow, am I glad he did! I have a very similar story to Matt’s and I couldn’t wait to start listening. I laughed, I cried (a LOT! haha), I rooted for Matt and mostly, I related to this heart-wrenching and heartwarming telling of his personal story. I love how down-to-earth and real Matt was, and made the listener feel like they were a close friend he was sharing intimate details of his life with. I applaud the courage and the perseverance it took to live through all of this - and it is NOT easy in any way - I know because I lived it too. Matt, thank you for this gift and know this. . . your hope that sharing your story will help others going through similar circumstances, it absolutely has and will continue to do so! I like to say about my own journey, that everything that I’ve been through in my life has led me to this moment in time to fulfill a purpose that I could never even have imagined. It is the same for you. Your story will change the lives of countless lgbtq+ individuals and their families. Poignant and profound. I’m no longer a Christian but I find such beauty in Matt’s journey - the way he held on to Jesus with his very life at stake. How can anyone deny that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of the Divine? Follow the fruit.
