    Lance Jasper Jones is a Los Angeles, California ASCAP music producer and songwriter member, alumni of Marymount California University, and a current Clinical Psychology graduate student at Grand Canyon University. Born with Sickle Cell Anemia, Lance understands the value of strong mental health as well as providing strong mental health services to those living with long-term and life-threatening chronic conditions. Lance developed Jasper House Warriors to help the causes of long-term conditions in mental health. Lance has and continues to push the bounds of Sickle Cell limitations. Lance is a world traveler, activist, music artist, mentor, and scholar.     Dr. Terry L. Jackson has the SS genotype of sickle cell anemia. As a child, he was the first poster child for sickle cell in the state of Virginia. Dr. Jackson received his B.S. in Biology from Virginia State University in 2003. He conducted research on sickle cell disease in the lab of Dr. Marilyn Telen at Duke University Medical Center from 2003 to 2005 and served on the Board of Directors for the hospital’s sickle cell advocacy group, The Bridges Pointe Foundation from 2003 to 2010. Soon followed his Ph.D. in Genetics and Genomics from Duke University in 2013. Dr. Jackson was a Senior Biocuration Scientist at Stanford University from 2016 to 2018. In July of 2018, Dr. Jackson returned to Virginia where he started, Jaxsun Enterprises Corporation, a media company dedicated to communicating life science to the public. He also works with CBOs and other healthcare entities, and individuals to improve access to care, quality of life, and unity within the SCD community.     Kallie Hargrove is a native of Raymond, MS. She graduated from Raymond High School in 2012 and then went on to obtain her bachelor's in kinesiology from the illustrious HBCU, Hampton University, in Hampton, VA. Once Kallie graduated in 2017, she returned to Mississippi and started nursing school at Hinds Nursing Allied Health Center. There she was a part of the Alpha Delta Nu Associate Nursing Honor Society and President of the Student Nursing Organization. After graduating in May 2020, Kallie started her nursing career as a hematology/oncology nurse and now has transitioned to Bone Marrow Transplants. In 2018, Kallie became the youngest board member of the Mississippi Sickle Cell Foundation where she spearheads their Sickle Cell College Tour. She is personally impacted by sickle cell genotype SS. She has partnered with MS Blood Services on numerous occasions to encourage everyone to donate blood for those like herself and others. Kallie currently reigns as Ms. Black MS USA and her platform is “Breaking the Sickle Cycle”. She has also held the titles of Miss Black MS US Ambassador and Miss Black West Hinds County.  For fun, Kallie enjoys modeling and roller skating in her spare time.
