Tiger and Lamb

When Justin Haenisch left the faith in his early twenties, it was an about-face on his identity and career plans. Though the radical change took place as a result of his anguish over certain tenants of the Christian faith, he was surprised during his transition to see just how eager others were to mock and criticize Christianity with the assumption that Justin would be in agreement. In fact, many of the qualms and frustrations expressed to this new version of Justin were considerations he felt were relatively solved by sound theology, and a basic understanding of the Scriptural text. Ignorance within the church was known and expected, but the ignorance regarding the Christian faith that was displayed by non-believers was concerning. Accordingly, Justin linked up with Kevin Carll, a trusted friend with a faith firmly rooted in sound theology and respectable Biblical knowledge, with the hopes of having engaging conversations that would explore the challenging implications of the Christian belief system without shying away from the beautiful elements that the text and community have to offer.
