    Creatives' 8 Year Anniversary - April '26

Creatives' 8 Year Anniversary - April '26 In this episode, Scott is joined by co-host and producer of the podcast Jarrett Moses. The tandem uses the April 7th Creatives’ Pier event as a launch point to do a “deep dive” into Creatives’ Philly’s eight-year journey as a platform. The April 7th open mic event doubled as Scott’s birthday and the anniversary of Creatives’ events. Jarrett runs sound/production for all of our Creatives’ events. The episode kicks off with some context for why the episode is going to take a different turn than usual. In the first fifteen minutes, Scott gives an overview of the Creatives’ journey with statistics and a breakdown of four distinct chapters in the story.  Jarrett and Scott spend the bulk of the episode time-lining the narrative and seeing how each decision they made along the journey was directly related to outside factors they couldn’t control. Towards the end of the episode, both hosts talk about what could have been different, lessons they’ve learned, and gratitudes they have for not giving up. Scott ends with a plea for new listeners to partner with Ripe Creatives so they can continue to produce the open mic events into the future. We hope you enjoy this one. 2 Lines - December '25

2 Lines - December '25 In this episode, Scott is joined by co-host Jarrett Moses and returners to the podcast Devyn Dais and Jake Doggett. The squad talks about the team’s 2 Lines Philly Open Mic that featured Jake as the closing poet on the event. Jake is both a Ripe Poet and a 2 Lines Philly team member.  Devyn serves with the 2 Lines Philly team and joined as a special guest to share some insight into how the night transpired. The episode begins with a bit of Jake’s growth as a poet of the past couple of years and the context for 2 Lines Philly choosing team members as the closing features.  The conversation then shifts to the open mic list for the event, which included a number of Jake’s favorite poets, including a few in our crew. The middle of the episode gets us to Jake’s featured set, where he breaks down the process of designing the set and gives a deeper dive into each of the poems he performed.  This part of the conversation includes an absolutely hysterical segment where the entire room thought Jake was going to propose to Devyn. The episode wraps with everyone sharing the impact from the experience that they each personally saw.  We hope you enjoy today’s episode.
