This podcast seeks to look at the false inclusively by promoting false diversity in the world of fashion influencers. Society is convinced that we act inclusive, because it is promoted through media channels very effectively, but is that the whole truth? We need to start a conversation about this now, the time is up and it’s time for a TimeOut.

    This episode serves to reflect over our new found knowledge about the topics. We will come with a temporary conclusion on where we stand in fashion history and diversity today. we will furthermore try to discuss how we as a society can try to think more about inclusivity and diversity.

    3. Episode - Bodyimage

    This episode takes base in a Youtube video by Sierra Schultzzie who is of a curvy body type and therefore feels treated differently when attending Beautycon where she was invited, because of her body size. We will research if there is a truth to her story and if there is a pattern of behavior when it comes to brand deals (and treatment at events) based on your body type. Beautycon is a event convention where people with an interest in beauty meet up.

    2. Episode- Race

    This episode takes base in the so called “Dote scandal”, where a series of influencers (Kianna Naomi, Danielle Perkins & Vereena) feels left out based on the colour of their skin. We will research if there is a truth to their stories and if there is a pattern of behavior when it comes to brand deals (and the treatment on trips) based on the color of your skin. Dote is a shopping app, that uses influencers to brand themselves, by inviting them on fancy press trips to places like Fiji and festivals like Coachella, where they will take a series of pictures with the influencers using the products and post it on instagram, which the influencers will as well.

    This episode will be an introduction of who we are and why we have made this podcast series and find it relevant. We will furthermore take a brief look back in history about the topics we will discuss in episode 2-3 to give the listeners some basic knowledge so they can reflect doing the discussion and get an overview of where we think we are in the fashion history with a focus on diversity
