    007 | Special Guest: Grandma Judy

    Per popular request, this week's episode features a very special guest: the famous Grandma Judy. Lindsey and Jessi come from a rich family history full of artistic (and kinda crazy) people. Travel through time as Grandma Judy takes you down a story filled path about their great great grandmother Maible, a silent film actress and Miss Los Angeles in 1915. Followed by the tale of their great grandfather Cal Howard, a comedic writer and cartoonist who worked everywhere from Walter Lantz Productions, Walt Disney, and Warner Brothers with a career spanning from the early 1920's through the 1980's, when he eventually won an Annie Award for lifetime achievement for his work in animation.

    004 | Ana & Emily

    In this week's episode, Lindsey and Jessi did their homework (for the first time in a long time) and chat about their chosen artists: Ana Mendieta and Emily Dickinson. Sharing with you a brief, substandard history and unsolicited opinions. Ana is well known for her "Earth Body Sculptures" and performance art. Her work covers topics such as race, gender, age and class. She tragically passed away too early and under suspicious circumstances. Emily Dickinson is one of the most celebrated of female poets. With over 1,800 poems found after her passing, her large body of work covers topics such as life, death, love and the richness of introspection. Lindsey and Jessi are not rocket surgeons, just two sisters who want to learn new things and implement that inspiration into their art.

    003 | Tale of the Trinket

    This is the tale of a trinket that lead to the Tiny Gramophone Studio. A small, brass music box that whimpers a little song that for some reason, kept Lindsey and Jessi hanging on. In this week’s episode, Lindsey shares stories from an adventure that began in the Pacific Northwest and took her all the way to New York City to explore where she wanted her art and the next chapter in her life to take her. Jessi shares stories from her time at an artist residency in Virginia where she found space to explore a new series of paintings. After their own separate travels, they meet in a place where most artists eventually end up at one point or another - back in their parent’s garage.

    If you're not Italian, you've probably noticed that hangovers hit different after your mid-twenties. Lindsey and Jessi are not Italian, they're artists. In episode two, "Drunk on Art", they discuss a topic that is near and dear to their hearts: alcohol use and the ways in which it effects creativity and their overall daily lives. Jessi dives into what it's like to go to art school and confesses to licking the inside of popcorn bags while Lindsey grapples with ways to channel spontaneity into her highly organized personality.
