    Clapton: Mambow

    We finally made it to Mambow! This low key Clapton eatery may look unassuming from the outside, but step through the door and you are met with a smiling host, the smell of all the Malaysian goodies they are cooking up in the open kitchen, and pounding naughties techno.   This restaurant serves Malaysian small plates that are tasty and interesting. We felt the amount of food and drink we got was great value! There are some dishes we loved, and some we think best avoided, so listen in to hear all our top tips.     Marylebone: St. JOHN

    London is home to a number of restaurants institutions, and St. JOHN is certainly one of them. Considered to be one of the biggest influences on the modern London food scene of the last 25 years, we felt a little embarrassed that we had not been yet. Fortunately that is now changed. Famed for its nose-to-tail approach with meat, wine tablecloths, and traditional English elegance in its decor, this restaurant should be on any foodies wish list.     Kent: Wineries

    This week's, somewhat belated, episode talks about our trip down to Kent and to 3 wineries in a single day! Our day trip from London consisted or a morning train, quite a few cabs, wines at Woodchurch Vineyard, Chapel Down Vineyard & Balfour Vineyard, and then a late afternoon train back to London. If you love wine, particularly the sparkling variety, and enjoy beautiful English countryside, then you really should be getting yourself down to Kent.     After the restaurant we initially planned to review flooded, we changed plans and headed to Kolae. This Thai restaurant serves dishes from the Southern provinces, and everything we tried was stunning.     We are back from our holiday and straight back into exploring what London's food and drink scene has to offer. This week we went to Peckham to eat at Kokum, a new Indian restaurant that has been on our radar for a while. This place serves fantastic food, delivering classic dishes as well as more modern and inventive options. We loved it!     Walthamstow: The Lacy Nook

    This week we are bringing you to our neck of the woods... Walthamstow! We chat about some of the places to eat and drink that we like in the area, and then share our thoughts on a new restaurant that has recently opened up in the area called The Lacy Nook. This restaurant serves sharer dishes based on the cuisine found across the Balkan peninsula. There are a few meat dishes but a lot of the food is vegetarian.
