So far a really interesting show with some great commentary. Really been enjoying it! Both the contributors have put some great thoughts into it. Agree with some takes, disagree with others. But that’s the fun of it!
I also later felt betrayed by the courtship of Princess Leia, I also grew up reading legends younger then I probably should have. It was such a formative part of my childhood in really similar ways to the creators of this podcast so it’s so interesting to hear how it shaped them, just like it shaped me. Anyone who had the chance to grow up on these books should give the show a chance. Wether it’s been years since you read them, or you’ve reread multiple times. It hits that perfect niche.
(Feel free to ignore this rant, just thoughts and maybe I need to make my own legends podcast lol. Only thing is I want to defend old republic Jedi? In universe it is like super dangerous to be force sensitive and dangerous for the galaxy if it goes wrong. Maybe there is a reason they had specific procedures for trying to best teach kids from as young as possible how to control their emotions? Just a lot of hate to the Jedi. Which can be an interesting conversation, but we’re shown a cultural group that teaches peace and a selfless love trying to help people who are forced into a rock and hard place because of a master manipulator. I’m not saying they’re perfect by any means, just they are not supposed to be the bad guys here.)
