Could be so much better

Dude, this podcast has great content, but it's quality is seriously terrible. I don't know what they use to record this show but it just does not work. I really hope they fix this because as long as it sounds like this I won't be listening.

Good content, horrible production values

As another reviewer pointed out, this is a great idea for a show but the sound quality is horrendous. Which is surprising, because the hosts should know better. All four current hosts have been around podcasting for years and having the technical ability (and equipment) to produce quality recordings. For some reason, however, they've chosen to produce this show so that it sounds like a telephone conference call. They could just as easily record each host with their podcasting gear and then have an intern or listener edit the four voices together to create the impression that they're all in a studio together.

In addition to the poor sound quality, professionalism takes a back seat at times. For example, one of the hosts recently had his infant son in his lap while recording, which was cute until the baby's fussing became louder than the host's talking and the host waited (along with the listeners) until the baby calmed down. Apparently the show doesn't believe in editing (another use for an intern) or issues like this and the excessive length of each episode could be resolved.

If the sound quality issues were resolved and the show took itself more seriously it would easily rate 4 or 5 stars. As is, the most I can give it is 2 stars.

Informative and occasionally even amusing

I have been finding the interviews with the various players and emerging podcasters and producers to be quite helpful in keeping up with what's going on the podosphere. I recommend it to podcasters and others who want to be in the know.
