Good morning, New York City! This is your weather update for today.
Bundle up, because it's going to be a chilly one out there! We're looking at a sunny day with temperatures struggling to climb, reaching a high near 21 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind chill is going to make it feel even colder, hovering between zero and 10 degrees. Expect a north wind blowing at 5 to 11 miles per hour, so definitely break out those winter layers.
Tonight, we'll see mostly cloudy skies with temperatures dipping down to around 17 degrees Fahrenheit. A light southwest wind at 3 to 5 miles per hour will keep things crisp.
Thursday brings some relief with mostly sunny skies and a high near 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind chill will be slightly more bearable, ranging between 10 and 20 degrees. A gentle southwest wind at 5 to 8 miles per hour will accompany the day.
Looking ahead to Friday, we're in for another sunny day with temperatures climbing to near 31 degrees Fahrenheit. The northwest wind will be blowing at 9 to 11 miles per hour.
The weekend looks pretty consistent - sunny on Saturday with a high near 31 degrees, transitioning to mostly cloudy conditions on Sunday with temperatures reaching near 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
Next week starts off mild with partly sunny skies and temperatures hovering around 38 degrees Fahrenheit on Monday.
