So I’ve been listening to Terry and Adam for awhile and I just have a few simple takes for them. TL,DR: get your audio balanced, stop reviewing WoD books like college essays, Embrace the Gothic Punk and heavy subject matters.
First. You guys are not coming in at the same volume and it’s very frustrating to dial up and down when I’m driving to and from work, so just that little bit of audio editing will do wonders.
Second. I don’t think you need to be this scrutinizing about your WoD book reviews. I might be new to the WoD scene but I’m pretty sure new players don’t need to hear every little inconsistency you’ve found, they just want more campaign and character ideas. If these are for WoD veterans, they can find that out for themselves. What gets me though is going to be my next point.
Third. Do you just not care for Gothic Punk? It seems like you guys just give the broccoli treatment for the heavier subject matters baked into the world in favor of the campy campaign material. The term “quirky” seems to be the focus of this podcast and it got old for me fast. I just don’t appreciate the disregard of the actual reason I got into WoD.
I still enjoy the podcast, just not most of it. It’s a cold bastard of a review but I promise you it’s honest.
