This show is an inside joke

Pete and Kenny break down the latest NFL free agency moves and signings as well as preseason week o Aren't an no chemistry having over the hill radio podcasts who just ride, no cult commentary. We actually got some fat. This is Touchdowns and Tangents. Your weekly spot for NFL takes topical tangents. And context for the culture. So tune in. Tune in because you never know if you're gonna get a take a tangent. But either way, I had a touchdown. What's up, good people? Touchdowns and Tangents here, your Thursday night spot for NFL takes topical tangents for the culture. I m p d Camrio and he is the captain. Now Kidd's right. Guys, See how we didn't hear that frantic shuffle If you picking the mic off the coach, that was nice reminding you of old time. It's called breath control. But yeah, man, we're on a take five here. Hopefully the computer doesn't stop recording for no reason in the middle of this, but if it does, you'll probably never hear this, so don't worry about it. But yeah, we are touchdowns at Tangents Touchdowns Attaches dot Com t d's underscore tages on Twitter and Instagram. It's been a it's been been a long week, but uh what are we gonna talk about Kenny. Been a long time, should have left you. You know the usual, Uh, preseason football was great. Football is getting close. It's officially to the preseason week ones behind us up yup. There with the Lions, Lions and forgetting who they're playing, there's the Lions and the Falcons. That preseason game got ended because oh yeah, that's probably they close it on Sunday, like was hit and he was unresponsive and they disagreed to those the Jets, I think it was lines Jets, and they disagreed to not finish the game. This is a preton game. It's like meaningless. A Jaguars kicker Cam Little kicked a seventy yard field goal and that was crazy, crazy work. They gotta give him ninety nine. You gotta give you if you kick a seventy yard field goal, you have to have ninety nine accuracy and kicking power. How about a Romania you do it through. The Chador effect fourteen to twenty three two TVs. Everyone's looking at him like a starter. He said he didn't. He felt like he didn't. He could have done better. He didn't take full advantage of the opportunity, which is sad that, Like, I don't like people who just want to like beat you down, to humble you because they think you didn't go through something. Yeah, because you don't know everyone story. And that's a black man in America. He's had it harder than pretty much all of you. Even if his daddy was rich, I don't care. Guess what. He don't have his daddy's speed, right, And it's not like he has Cam Newton arm or Josh Allen arm or even though Lamar Jackson level arm like he can make every throw, he's had to quote unquote humble himself. And it's funny that the owner of the Browns comes down to us, He's not our guys, not our pick, He's Andrew Berry's pick. That lets me know if this fails, Stefans, he's not getting fired, Andrew Berry is. And then they're gonna probably trade your door. And then the fact that you don't give him any first team reps and you just throw them out there because you want him to fail. It's an allegory about being a black man in America cause his children they always treat us as we're older than we actually are. And then when we become of age, they call us Wayians. They used to call us superpredators in the nineties. Now they're just saying whyans. That's why I don't use whyan. I'm like, that's a little bro, We're we're not playing. That game now. You see all the uncles, all the bold black dudes. What you're saying. But I feel like the younger generation caused the younger generations. No, but it's different, Like they twenty seven year old right now is calling the nineteen and twenty year olds whyans. But it's a different cultural connection for sure. It's like when boomers called us the millennials the laziest generation. Well yeah, it was like they're literally the laziest generation. The same thing. It's like, yeah, Millennials was kind of superjecting as a derogatory turn for so long, and then once Millennials got more spending power, it became more of a positive thing. I think that's kind of the same thing happening with gen Z toos, Like everyone just rolled their eyes take gen Z, but now. Just accepted like gend like, hey, so we watched how you did our older brothers and sisters and we ain't really here for that shit. And jin ALFHO really isn't here for you. Shit, that's why they're not that's they're not drinking. I mean, they're kind of doing drugs here and there, but they're really staying away from that because we saw what you know. That's why, Like when I look at rappers who brag about what they were in the nineties, I was like, so you sold drugs to kids, to women, to pregnant women, because some of you did. You sold drugs to kids. Creating a whole f****d up generation of kids that you didn't blame for all societal problems that you created. And then when we go back and realize you were a loser in the nineties, there were just no cameras around. It's kind of like some of the people who judge Shad Door and some of these younger quarterbacks and even like Tom Brady was talking about it, how like these kids are physically ready, but they're not mentally ready. Well, yeah, because look what the parameters are different, like the crucible with football and just in life in general. It's like, I think there's a general rational disconnect with these kids. They're not stupid, they don't have to do the things that we did that I think people are gonna look at millennials as like we were truly the noblest generation. We were. We were the noble we were, we were the original, we were the Boobie Miles, we were Moving Miles, we were Chris Comer, we were I don't think we were definitely moving bro, Facebook, Huh, We're one of the greatest generations. Deal, some of us were. Some of us never had a chance out the game. And you know that. You know that name a random wide receiver right now, jo Jo Vicious. See, only millennials do ship like that. But what I'm saying, like, what I'm saying is to kind of tie this to the point. I know he's not, but it's like when millennials in the media, the way we see him, we're not kicking his back end. Yeah, like Kenny Pickett sucked. I said, Kenny Pickett was trash watching him at the Senior Bowl, respectfully, like not even like, hey, bro, this dude is not. A franchise quarterback. He's just not. And he got little hands and he wears gloves and he couldn't even he was fumbling snaps at the Senior Bowl. They didn't show you that on TV, So It's like Joe Flacco's old as hell. His son came out and said he sucks. So I'm like, Dylan Gabriel's hurt. And to be honest, I've seen Dylan Gabriel get to the NFL defense. Go watch the Ohio State game. The second one. I think when I think about that comparison, that to me just kind of especially where I'm cook, it's like really just based off their performance because the reality is like context matters, Like you look at Shador and Dylan Gabriel, Like I think that's the perfect example of why context matters. Like on one hand, it's like Gabriel was one of the most productive quarterbacks in COUSE and on the other hand, he also kind of like Ring Chase and went to some of the biggest best programs with the Taylor to him versus you know, Shador. You know, he was a he wasn't he wasn't an unknown prospect, but he wasn't you know, all everything sort of prospect. Four star prospect coming out of solid prospect and most recruiting spaces had and. He chose to go to a lower level and he worked his way up to a bigger level, and his numbers got better every year, and he basically put the team on his back. So so it's like, you know, you. Can dice up those two players any way you want, But the reality is between the two matters, because if you just look at their numbers, you're gonna think one thing. If you just look at their traits, you're gonna think something else. But what development is is really kind of pulling those two things together at a new level consistently. It's because somebody was success by something in the past doesn't mean they're gonna be successful at it in the. Text really matters. Context tells you, Okay, it's just gonna apply, it's it's not gonna apply. So and I mean he he performed the best in that win against the Panthers. The examples of Guet was out here fist fighting people Panthers. Yeah, sure it was crazy. He low key mixing one. But yeah, receivers stuff socking each. Other like him with one. It's corney, Why are you punching people with your hands and you need your hands to catch Why not just go for the takedown at first? But the funny thing is to Tory McMillan is like, nah, he had some combinations in there. You gotta respect it. He does. I don't want to fight exa related with the way he talks. Bro's been in some fucking fights dog on one probably fucking no, just not even. All seven of them. A home he packed out seven people. He probably has, but the point is. Probably wrestling and bears Bro. He ran a four three nine and has country strength, and he's truth Carolina body of ad yes like chiseled granted four three nine, and he's trying to put it together as a receiver. I don't think he's really dead yet. I didn't think he should have been the first round pick, just pished, what's up on the board. But they got to Tory McMillan, so it kind of works out because you got speed and possessionals got feeling like their offense is kind of shaping up. They said Renfro looks good too. Yeah, Toy McMillan is nice though, like that man, I think that's like that's he's like a faster, more agile. I wanted Renfro to go there last two years, not only because of the Clemson connect, but just because that lower center of gravity I think is gonna help Bryce this year. Having a kind of a security blanket where you can just kind of throw a low ball. You doesn't have to worry about it getting picked off and refro can just you kn

Why does this title have so many tariffs?

Kenny and Pete break down the latest free agency moves, college football media days and more. Catch it hear and on touchdownsandtangents.com. Aren't y'all tired? No chemistry over the podcasts, which is just right comment we actually got. This is the touchdown tangency your week. We spot our NFL takes topical tangency and context for the coach cult. So tune in, tune in because you never know if you're gonna get a make. But either way, Away had the touchdown down. What's up, good people? Touchdowns and tangs Here Hawthorne, California, your NFL spot for topical takes tangents for the culture. I am P. T. Camrio, I'm Kenneth Frankly James Berry. And we are on the second take of this. Hopefully there's no power issues this time around. But football's back. Kenny Hall of fameame just passed Bons Chargers. Trey Lance went out there and got the start. Harbaugh was firing up before the game went out there, made some plays. They pretty much dog walked the Lions. Jerry Goff threw a pick. Everyone on social media overreacted. Look at golf without Ben Johnson, et cetera, et cetera. Antonio Gates made his acceptance speech before other guys got in, solling on man, how you feeling? How you feeling about football being back. I'm happy mostly just for this year. Fact of like high school and college are back and alight at a certain point, like once you look back in high school and realize that's the last time you were innocent, You're like, I just want the best for these kids. And you know, like with football, injuries are gonna happen. Somebody's gonna have the best year of their life, somebody's gonna have the worst shit of their life. And it's all tied in. We're all living this shit together, and you factor, and you know, we're all experiencing football in different aspects of our lives. So it ended up to be a pretty fun year. I mean, the year's almost over already, we're already in August. It's crazy, though, do you get the faster than about to go by? This shit is crazy. Could have warned us, They could have warned us. They told us, But I don't really think they warned us. It's more like they just said, all right, you'll see when you're older. Hey, that's not funny because I see it now that I'm older and my back hurts. Yeah. Man, Ultimately, it's great that football is back. I wanted to go to the Raiders camp this past weekend, but had a game, so I didn't make it. But Chargers having a bunch of open practices. Rams have had a bunch of practices. Cowboys been fucking around and Oxen and heard. But yeah, man, it's just all around a good time right now, buzz in the air. High schools are starting back up, starting to feel like fall. Most importantly, how Thorn to Lindale. We'll be playing at so far well the first time ever. Yeah's cool. August August twenty first, I don't give it shit it I hope Lindelle don't get blown out. But oh my god, oh for people who grew up in the city, I might cry that day. I might have figure out how to get some media credentials because I gotta be on the field interviewing people. They gotta have me out there. I was. I was there during the history of this rivalry, the heart of it. But yeah, I'm excited. I'm more excited about college in high school than the pros because the NFL is inevitable. I feel like the Passing League and Summer League that was just that felt like that was forever. What do you think about the virtual measurement stiff, like the Raiders are gonna somehow get hold. Yeah, but I only saw like one clip of it. What kind of corantine, But it's too early to tell because we just rolling out like this is really the test season. Yeah for sure. Now if they if it goes Haywire gets screwed up in a playoff game, Yeah, that can't happen. So just petting money, no comment, No, I know you probably can't talk about it, but yeah, man, that's the situation. NFL offices in New York. Basically some dude who was originally from California played high school football basically targeting. The I thought it was Santa. Clarita something like that, but his coach was like his former coaches like the Hills. Yeah, so versions pretty much. Yeah, he's targeting in the NFL because he feels like he had CT from all his years playing high school and youth football. Blackstone CEO also got somebody at Blackstone, like I guess, like an investment firm that like buys up. Yeah, pretty much. This building has some of the top heads funds, financial officers. Et cetera. In this office. So basically ran up in there, held himself hostage and took his own life and four others with him. So it's just all around a sad situation. Should really just a reminder that in this country, it's like it doesn't matter where you go, whether it's school, work or you know, anywhere else, concert, movie, et cetera. Like some b******t could happen, some tragedy. It's sad. It sucks. No, it sucks for you because you're close to. It's nothing new either, so it's just sad. With that on a water note, I guess we can turn to college football. Now before I play another interview? Should I should just wait? Ah? Like I wait, some things did happen, Like I said, at least for high school, Lowndale and Hawthorne High will be playing out so far it should be for the Mayor's Cup, but who knows. They for some reason Malondock gets as well as they discontinuate because Lindel technically was never involved with the Mayor's Cup. But it's like, we're right there and we were clapping hot thornch cheeks every time he played them. Now after I graduated and we left, that's a whole different story. But that's gonna be great, Like you got the East LA Classic to have more local high school teams playing at so far is going to be awesome. Truly excited for it. Now. College football, DJ wing guard per Due offensive lineman who I think potentially could be making like upwards of two hundred thousand dollars in IL money. He sued the n double A because they he thought he had actually eligibility left and they told him he didn't. So now like he's still and he's some One of the reporters asked him, like, how acs Lincoln, how is he holding up? And he's like it's not good because like this could be the end of his college career. You know. I think he had like some COVID time like certain things where he's legally supposed to have the year, but there are provisions and some of the rules that might prevent that. And he's supposed to be their starting center I think at USC this year. So that's kind of up in the air. Also, just talks of intense and kind of heat it up with more schools, especially the Carolina schools North Carolina, all them. Potentially leaving to go to the Big Ten. That's that's weird, how that like those talks kind of heat it up, but we kind of don't stand by, so we'll see what happens. Also, Warrence Taylor being on the sports committee and not even knowing why or what. We started. Taylor, like, we get it, bro, you ran like a four to three. You're a fast linebacker, but you got a weird history with women. Dog. I don't care how good of a past rusher you were. You got a weird history of women. Little girls like you. You're kind of my Carl alone category. Like old heads like Launch Taylor. I'm like, you mean a dude that keep getting caught with underage girls, and y'all that's your hero, that's your friend. All right, all right, the old generation hit pedophiles pedophiles for a while. The old generation were pedophiles. Let's be real, a lot of them were pedophile and contone, you didn't maybe you didn't f**k a little kid, but you sure did fuck some young person's life up. Probably we could have that discussion all day. We could just look at the job market for young people. We could just look at I don't know, the journalism field and all the people who ended up leaving it for various reasons. But you know, some of these older professors don't have those conversations. You just say you're not working hard enough, and it's like you wouldn't have made it in today's time period, so shut your hats up. But that's a whole nother story. Again. I blame all. I blame all the boomers and the old people for the decayed of society because we were kids, y'all were adults when this shit was happening, Which is weird because like Triple H and them, funny that not one black person there because Lawrence Taylor wasn't in some of those pictures, but Triple H who they rein. They re institute at the presidential fitness test, which the president himself would fail at. And Triple AH can't do it because he did all those steroids early in his life, which is probably why he had the heart attack to begin with, because he was definitely on Gear and other ship because stock Scott Steiner infamously said, if getting drug tested, Triple A just is getting drug tested with me or just neither others is getting drug tested. And guess what he got drug tested. That's what Gear does. That's ladies and gentlemen, that's why you don't do all this weird ship to your body. But somehow Paulovek, who had a heart attack and can no longer even wrestle, probably can't even like raise his voice too much because you know, heart issues. He's gonna somehow make kids healthier again. These poor kids, they just just we have the stupidest adults in charge. Yeah, that's a real thing. The Presidential Fitness Test. They're bringing that back. So I guess start CrossFit training your kids or whatever weird shit y'all be doing out here. Takeaways from media day. You're gonna play some interviews or what? Oh yeah, sure I will play a little some sung Uh it's gone from Big ten. I'm sure my WiFi is actually connected. What happened last time? Hey, did you turn on the thing? I mean it should be and hm I connected out again? Connected to someone's iPhone. I connected to my iPad Loki. Yeah, So interviewed a lot of all the coaches ship, so you just gonna have to play it all right, So interviewed a bunch of players and coaches. So I'll start with Damn Lanning. There we go. I heard something I'm just watching. I wasn't knowing I

Stuck between a barstool and a desert bust station

Kenny and Pete break down Mountain West Media Day and all the NFL Free Agency updates. Catch it here and on touchdownsandtangents.com. Hey, you out there there. I want some. I want some co hos who actually. You can tell that they. Actually have some time of chemist. You're going on, Hey. Cloud Chasation, that's cool. I actually got to have something in mind for you. So keep listening you'll find out out. This is a Touchdowns and Tangents, your weekly spot or NFL takes culturally conciseed tangents and in context. For the coaches. What's up, good people? Touchdowns and Tangents? Back here Sunday Night Special Edition. Been off a few weeks, recharging, getting work done, doing what we do on PD camerio, and he is, can't it been? Yeah, A lot of the ship has happened in the past few weeks. NFL training camps are now in session. I believe almost all the camps are in session. I think either by Monday because the last day, but right now it's mostly rookies and camp veterans are slowly reporting. Drove by the boat the other. Day that shit was cracking. They had a line all the way around the corner. But overall, that's in the past few weeks. A lot's happened. A lot of people got paid, somebody retired, he's already out for the year. Yeah, it's kind of crazy. Where do you want to start. Well, the Jets, actually, well today the Chiefs. They locked up George Carloftus on like a four year, ninety two million dollar contract. Sheesh. Let's see the Jets paid. Sauce Gardener, who I think he got like four years one hundred and thirty five million, and Gary Wilson got like four years, like one hundred twenty million or. Something like that. Yeah, he's not ninety million guaranteed, Wilson did. So you lock up both your two first round picks, your cornerstone pieces, your best corner, your best receiver. You know, you got Justin Fields. TJ. Widde up more money than his brother ever got his whole career. Yeah, four years, one hundred and twenty three million. Three I thought it was three years, one hundred and twenty three million. It's the most ever for a Deefson player. Yeah, I think that's right. Uh, Let's see who else got locked up. Well, it wasn't the Lions. Mike Williams retired, which was cutting out the big story this week. Many people thought he was going to come back. He had resigned with the Chargers, after two seasons away, people were kind of looking at him as that deal number two receiver across from mccuckie. But yeah, what do you think any I know, we had some jokes, but serious seriousness. Dude broke his neck and came back to school. Still ended up being the first round pick and played eight years, had two one thousand yard receiving seasons, and when he was healthy, he was a legit deep threat who was out here making herculean catches because his qbs. Qbs were gonna knock the hell out in games, and he was really stretching out for the ball thirty yards downfield getting blasted sometimes. I mean, yeah, Herbert's a good QB, but like sometimes you throw your receiver into a hospital bed. We don't talk about that enough that qbs are like really leaving the receivers all right, Other n****s that's been going on this week. There's been some new Jersey reveals. I know, everyone was kind of making jokes about the Chargers saying they got that mustard yellow, they got that big bird testame Street three. Andrew Whitworth compared it to when the Browns last word. Yellow in that Super Bowl run where they lost. Well, yeah, what do you what do you what did you make of some of the uniforms that you saw this past week? Charge the Saint drop uniforms to the Chargers once were cool. I like the Navy helets. I'm glad they finally got those bags. Yeah, the Chargers can really get in their bag when they want to. Everybody else is like, you're not just you're not really revealing in the uniform. It's just an alternate that you could probably wear this year. So it's like it's rare somebody changed it, Like the Saints didn't really change up their whole uniforms game. It's still black and gold, you know, but it is what it is. And shout out to Donnica Sue this she retired last week, called it the career. I think after what thirteen seasons something like that. Yep, and the chip and he said I should have been paying more than Matt Stafford since I was drafted before. I was the next first round pick A lot of time. Oh pro damn near won the Heisman. Seventy one, act should have won the Heisman. Got screwed by Texas and the reps, and. I think I'm black balled out the League for a little bit, for sure, because teams didn't want to pay him. They didn't want to pay him teammate or anything. Yeah, he actually did exactly what you wanted him to do, which is be a Offens's worst nightmare, and you got mad when he crashed out. All right, you want to move on to college football? Wow? Yeah, one thing the Commander signed von Miller. I was obviously saving that for a touchdown and turnover. I didn't know that, all right, Yeah, let me uh, let me play some stuff. So I was at. I was at Mount West Media Day in Vegas this past week. I talked about what I'll say, what happened to me on the way. Back on my. But at the pleasure of interviewed a bunch of Mount West coaches and players. I'm not gonna play all the interviews because it's a lot of interviews, but place some poortant ones, like first new coming coach into the Mount West for Freendsnoe State, Matt dis He was formerly the head coach at North Dakota State. He took a linebacking coach job at. SC last season, and now he's the head coach at Fresnoe State. So here's about here's a conversation I had with him second ship. It's not let me connect, that's who mm hmm, it's broadcast Kenny. That on. H right now it right o. Be connected? Coach? Good? Good? How how's it been now. You go from a USC now you're a friend of state. How's the field being a full time head coach? Again? It's been good? Uh. You know there's a different demands, you know, when you're an assistant coach or a coordinator, you have this is your process weekly. When you're a head football coach, it's a little bit different, but it's been It's kept me busy, that's for sure. Trying to make sure from a staff standpoint, from recruiting, fundraising, you know, there's a lot of irons in the fire. These days, but keeps the energized. That keeps you moving every day and there's something to get done. And we're only but surely continue to improve. Obviously, you know, since you're familiar with the California market, I was recruiting band. How is it you know. When you see guys we're going to be from Juco just high school kids and maybe one another the radar, how is it? You know, handling this recruiting base at Fresnel State. Well, we were a little bit behind going into the class of the class of twenty six, you know, because we got in you know, part way. But I think we've done a really good job to pain traction in the state of California. I believe having been at USC the previous year gave me some contacts, gave me some people that I could lean on, that I could trust through this process and kind of understanding how West Coast recruiting is different than Midwest recruiting, where I spent the majority of my career. So, you know, I think the experience. At USC was tremendous, you know, for me, especially as I took a head coaching job on you know, the West coast here. But our staff does a great job. I think high school coaches, I think high school administrators are super excited and that Fresno State is emphasizing the State of California education program on campus. So it seems like wherever I go, whatever high school I visit, there's either a teacher, there's an administrator that has a Fresno State degree, and I know those people are super excited to see the red and white backun buildings. As a feel known like you still can lean on you know, North Capron State, just all your Midwest ties. Well, we've tried to do that a little bit. If you look at our recruiting class, you look at some of the recruits that we brought in in the class of twenty five, you'll see young men from Chicago, young men from Omaha. You know, we'll have a little bit of a Midwest flair. But again it's we're Fresno State, the Ford, Paul, the v It's a national brand. And so I think we can utilize those areas. As secondary and I'm gonna repeat secondary recruiting areas with our primary area being the state of California. How the alumni based kind of reached out to you, tapped in and just let you know, okay. You know, one of the things that we've tried to create when we got when I say we are staff and myself on campus is a former players you know, organization, and we call it the BFL. It's something that's kind of grown some legs of its own and rapidly expanding. But we want our former players, we want them to know that they're the foundation of our program. We wouldn't be where we are without them. We've got them back to practice. We had a spring tailgate. We'll have a couple of different functions during the season. We have a coffee with the coaches during fall camp where we invite just former players back to come to practice, to watch and to see. You know, within about one hundred mile radius of Fresno, there's four hundred former players. We want those players to know that they're still an integral part of what we do and who we are. And for asking like Gingry, he talked about how much like I'm an impact you had. We talk about a man. Eric. So when you look this linebacker group, the d L group, Corey former was you look at the defense, how juiced up where they were? You know when you first got to meet them. I don't know if you know, I don't know how juice stuff. They were hurt, but hopefully they were excited to know that, Uh, you know, they had a head coach that had defensive background. I think having been at USC, you know, I know that there's a lot of conversation Eric Gentry and Corey. Eric Gentry and DJ Lafitte, who's a former sc player. Eric knows a lot of the guy

Is really shitty that Halliburton popped his achilles towards Achilles, But honestly, see how they make sure of the villain. If you're not being enough of a villain. How do how do you make the league MVP the villain when he has no criminal record? He got traded on Draft night. This is all Paul George's fault. If you want to blame anybody for Halliburton's injury and everybody who popped the achilles, this is all Paul George and his stupid ass podcast fault. You can literally blame the Thunder winning a championship on Paul George, Draymond Green and who else you want to name the Mavericks, the Dallas Mavericks, You know and the Spurs, you know, Adam Silver because the Spurs getting all this talent they set up capital. Was on the floor every time Dame Justin or Jason Tatum yep, and like like three other dule toward their achilles. I think he was on the floor when. Yeah, and he's not He's not ever beating the Chargers. After they did that prayer game six and his eyes rolled in the back of his head. That shit was kind of demonic, bro, Like, you're never beating those allegations. And you the. Crazy thing is they took that man off the floor and he had zero files in game seven, I'd be like, that's the time he get ejected. Bro. Shout out to O'Connell. Though that kid put that dude balled out. He earned himself a fat pay day down the line. I'm not evenna lie. I didn't even watch any of the NBA playoffs that the Clippers lost, we know, but a former Race said they said Game six was one of the most watched games ever. But they also said at the beginning of the series, like the first two or three games were like some of the lowest watch ever. And it didn't help that the NBA had a f*****g sail in the middle of the finals with the Lakers finally admitting their broke boys and selling to Proteck, the group that owns the Dodgers, which was big news out here in LA for sure, just because man La Laker fans finally admitted that the family money was holding them back, but they just weren't. I think it's good for the Lakers though overall. But so when Lebron becomes partner, you had that, and then somebody else got traded. It's been bang got traded during the finals. Somebody else got traded to. Porzingis got traded to the OKD got traded during the finals. Yeah, I mean yeah, so that's wild. And Porzingia's got traded like the dead after to the to the can't get out of its own damn way. Looky, the Hawks are kind of nice with that roster. They have now that for like four years. No, but like they actually look like we've been saying that for like four years. But they're the Hawks. The Hawks. They just find a way to be the Hwks bro the expectations. I got a homie from the Nabjo's been binging the table for the Hawks for like five years, Bro, stop stop hitting the table. So they're gonna be No, they're not. If they didn't do ship after they won like seventy games or sixty nine games one year and Kyle kover shipped the bed in the playoffs, it's never happening, Atlanta Hawks, It's never happening. Dominique wilkins son looks like the truth. Though Dominic Wilkins can say whatever he wants. He was at one point some jamming bro at one point his son was. At one point Dominique. Is like head over the fucking rim, just f*****g jamming on ship Bro, like fucking sixteen bro. At one point, crazy Dominique Wilcoms was better than what people well, he's what BRONI, He's what. People want Brownie to be. Brownie was never even that athletic exactly, and it's only like sixty six and ship. Bryce is more athletic than Bronnie, and everybody's saying Bryce won't even make it, which is crazy because I remember the dick eating like and everybody was like, you know, Brownie's gonna be. Brownie has a better offensive bag. I know Bryce is a better offensive bag than Brownie. It's not even close he does. It's not even close. So I'm like, why are y'all sating? Y'all went from just because he's walking on at Arizona when he probably could have got a skylarship anywhere else. The kick but some of the some of these just top flat propects out of high school. Don't listen like you're really not that guy. Go to like the Big West and become the greatest player in school history in the Big West, and then you become that guy. Let's just look at Halliburnen bro going and trying to be a twelfth man in Arizona, get no burn, and then you transfers some white bitch. Wow, that was a lot. I mean, I wasn't gonna go straight to just white bitch. I was gonna say just a thought. But you know, wow, my bad, Like you jump the gun. No, you just jump the gun like you don't start a white bitch. You just say, oh, you're gonna get pregnant by a thought and she got more money than you, and then you're just gonna be that broke boy. You're just gonna be like yeah, yeah, yeah, you'll change. Like we know what's Brodley's most viral moment, you'll change fake. That's his most of our moment, not him being on the court with his father and then never anything mean, y'r chang fake. But anyway, Dominie Wilkins at one point was better than Jordan from what the old heads tell me. He was that crazy. He was that like he was He's going head to head with Jordan at one point, like that's that's what I've heard. That's Cannon apparently with the old doc with old I think this is a thirty for thirty on Dominique Wilkins too. But yeah, he just he was like Paul George, but with way less flash he wasn't. No, Paul George was nowhere near as nice as a Dominique Wilkins. And I didn't forget about all that shit y'all talking about Kobe and what Trace McGrady said and Jim Jones. I'm just holding my anger and vitory all towards the end of the show. This is gonna be a very peaceful opening to the show. But let's get back to football, because you know we talked that's what touchdowns intense it is. Aaron Rodgers said he's gonna retire. This is gonna be his last season. This is it. No, Michael Jackson, Like, this is literally it for him, and at forty two and twenty one years in, I mean, it would be crazy if he let them to a playoff. Birth. I just think it's dumb that he's doing this whole last Dance thing because it's like signing the last Dance bro. It's like the Paul Pierce retirement tour. Yeah, that wasn't even though he is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, he's top five exactly what it is, he's top five. I just think, what if they actually get closed, Like what if they actually do make it to the second or third round of the playoffs and he can go out with his head with his head one year with Pittsburgh, that's it. Like, had one of the best seasons in Jets history. You're twenty eight touchdowns and eleven paces. I'm saying a lot for J's QB history. Twenty eight and eleven. I'm not saying that's bad now when I say that, Okay, but when I say that and you're like, Joe name is one of the greatest ever, No, he wasn't. Literally not he was. He's literally not. He's running back literally came back against one of the greatest raider teams ever. That's cool, that's cool, that's cool. He earned the spot Hall of Fame. One of the greatest played right now. Also, the quarterbacks have to do kind of a lot less, now, can we be honest? You just got to get the He's not better than Jim Plunket. Let's really talk about it. Let's know, let's get that ship on the floor. You're not gonna tell me Joe Naming is better than Jim Plunket. You're smoking crack, my boy? Did you so? Jim Plunkett just doesn't ever to be in the Hall of Fame, alright? Cool? I ever said that? Man, I never said that. I'm just saying now, people, I'm saying you were the You're the main person that I know who was ready to flare ship up and kicks ship off at every tailgate over Jim Plunking now being in the Hall of Fame, and it's just weird now. Be in the Hall of Fame. He better than johnamon I mean, we gotta stop gashing. Brett Farve was better than Joe Namath. I mean, statistically, maybe no better, was I don't know what the fucking jets. I think you need to understand, Joe. That's like wearing the Michelin Star with f*****g McDonald's. You know what I'm saying, that's like winning a f*****g Michelin star. McDonald's better than Cam Newton. What are you talking about Cam Newton? What I'm saying, if you're playing Cam Newton, probably Cam Newton won. An m v B Great Player m v P. No, he was f*****g mid. He was like worse

Kenny and Pete talk about the latest in NFL free agency and why the Bengals have beef with every one. Don't bring vienna sausasges to graduation parties. Catch it here and on touchdownsandtangents.com Are you tired of the same old sports media? Are you tired of hot takes. Arguments and questions that are just completely off base? Luckily we have something for you. Touchdowns and Tangents of the People, for the people, by people who care about the culture and all concise commentaries. It was good. Everybody can bear another episode. Touchdowns at Tangents to my left, get that ship up, man, some of my little eight year olds bring it in, bringing in, bringing in. Uh yeah, I laid it up for you to pretty much. You know you're all album this episode. Anyways, this is a Touchdowns at Tangents. Whose graduation We got a graduate? Uh to me? My brother graduated, Philip graduated. Shout out to him. So I'm through through it. Salute to you man, got all of them. Through anyways, Thank you. Uh yeah. Touchdouns at Tangents your Thursday night spot for NFL takes, Topical Tangents, TD's underscore Tangents on Twitter and Instagram. Touchdowns at Tangents dot Com. Not too busy of the week, but some shit actually did happen, like I don't know, the Raiders finally got competent linebackers. Shit was crazy. The Bengals aren't war with themselves with another first round pick. Yeah, man, how do you feel about that? He just kind of called out the organization. He hasn't even signed his first contract, and he mentioned Trey Hendrickson's deal, which is a no go, so you know, he's a rookie. You know though, you at a point, but I think we should say, Joe, well you brought it up, so now we're gonna say that to the end. Anyways, what else we gonna talk about? Well, some people got inducted until some Hall of Fames, Edelman. I think Bill Parcells and Edelman are going into the Patriots Hall of Fame. We also. A couple of guys for the Vikings are getting inducted, and. I forgot the other one, but great reported shut up. No, I mean mostly just certain guys aren't coming too Mini Camp GJ. Watt. Yeah, that's really been the story. There's really just the three holdouts TJ. Watt, Trey Hendrickson, and the third person, Scary Terry Claron for the Commanders, all three of them in the last year of a deal using the show up. And you can't really blame either one of them because they finally gave him a wide receiver and he had like fourteen touchdown catches in over a thousand yards and they got to the Nancy Title game. He just gave scary Terry, who wasn't even the first round pick. If you just gave him a competent quarterback and built up the defense a little bit, look what happens. So yeah, yeah, you trade for Deebo. And honestly, Deebo Samuel's looking fat as hell. Bro, I ain't gonna lie. I'm not even being a hater boy looking like a he's looking like a fullback who can play running back. Is looking like every bit of a gadget player, like moonlighting as a receiver. He's looking kind of heavy. It's weird to see. Somebody called him the black Kyle Juice check and I was like, damn, But yeah, he's the best receiver you have. He's really the best player in your offense outside of Jayden Daniels. So they the commanders need to pay him and quit playing around and Henderson all principals shouldn't, you know, he shouldn't show up till he gets paid either. Because he's the leading the sack leader for two he's in a row. He you know, the Bengals have to sing or they don't want to pay players. Again, it goes right back to that first round pick situation, so we're just gonna leave the entire Bengals. Yeah. I don't get that whole Bengals thing because I feel like they have fans. I feel like people go to the games. Even when they were shitty, they always went to the games. So it's like, I don't understand whether their ownership is so bad. Like you're in a position to be the best you've ever you you just the best era of Cincinnati Bengals football ever, and look what you're doing, So you know, it's to me, it's kind of crazy, like these holdouts are real for people, and you still got free agents out there who are lingering so well, since Aaron Rodgers is off the market, that pretty much like what does Kirk Cousins do. Yeah, I was gonna say that because everyone's been talking about how his trade market is just pretty much dead. So I mean, I think wherever the first injury is, there's an opportunity. Same thing for like the Giants quarterbacks, which everyone falls to third is probably gonna get cut. Yeah, I forgot the Patriots are unveiling Tom Brady's statue. And about that. That's crazy. Wild between him owning part of the Raiders and having a statue, that's crazy, just like Charles Whitson being INA's. Ringing on it but. From Ohio. Yeah, and his son got an offer from Michigan. Crazy. Oh yeah. The biggest one. Speaking the defensive backs, Marvin Harrison f*****g hype. No no, no, no, no, no, no no no. That's all the fucking Aaron Rodgers CLS commercial b ro. That's why os they slowed that ship down. They're like, this ship looks perfect for US commercial and they put the Seas commercial. On it and I was like, this shit actually does work perfectly. That'd be a hell of a rollout. Everyone's just been f*****g drooling over Marvin Harrison Junior. It's discussing he is jack. It's his dad got him in the lab but said. You're just gonna have the big body because you got a short quarterback who's gonna be throwing the hell Mary balls to you him as well. Tyler says he's hoping for his best year every year. So this is finally the one. Speaking of players that franchises, are frustrated with the Packers finally cut college football. That's what how do you believe? Damn we can talk about that, right's football out? You think I just have college football and was off the top of my head, you do, that's literally your thing. I'm mad you do a little bit. So they passed the Supreme Court pasted it. The two point was eight point two billion. It's just you know, I think it's like two point eight billion dollars were of back pay for people who didn't get money off the name and just likeness. And I think it's twenty I think it's like twenty nineteen. They start twenty sixteen and up DJ Williams who went to you, which those dudes in the nineties really got to shut the hell up, because bro, y'all all got paid under the table. Shut up. You hated those generation after you, or you got caught giving money to the generation after you, and then when it like three generations after you sucked, you stopped supporting them. It's like if you had built something, had you had built a stronger fellowship with the younger cats after you, regardless of what the record was on the field, then y'all would be able to just launder money to each other. But no, it was holes, clothes and fast cars, all types of dumb shit for all those two thousands late two thousands players in the league. Let's be real, and y'all were y'all collective bar getting skills. Weren't that great. So what this pretty much means is now all these schools are launching saying yes, we are gonna fully pay are athletes with this nil money from this particular fund. UNLV rolled some stuff out. A bunch of schools are rolling stuff out when us he's already doing their thing. And I think for the new video games, about twenty six schools are gonna get paid and like more money. Based on how many times their schools used in the game. Greats, some more data tracking and more micro transactions school f**k you, Yeah, and then more and more there you go, uh and then more players are are were talked about it and reported, but more players are getting paid, like twelve hund more than twelve hundred. Now they were only gonna get like sick. They're getting paid more money for the game and likeness and all that stuff. But with all the skins that they're probably gonna have. Yeah, and if cats own logos and all that. There's so much money to be had if only the schools taught kids to you know, create corporations and businesses instead of treating their education like a corporation in the business, but as fucked so. But anyway, that was someone closet. Yeah, very good. I was just giving a summation of really, like the help most of our childhoods. I agree, I'm just saying it didn't. We're not starting that Trump. It's ship blame Bush. I blame Bush for everything and people. I feel like we don't boo him a nag, but yeah, I mean, yeah, definitely Reagan, but like we don't blame Bush enough. We just call him a gulible idiot and oh he owned the Rangers fucked man. Yeah, this kind of connects back to George Bush because like they tried to get years ago, they tried to get presidents former presidents to back this this build of legislation to try to you know, control what athletes could get where how much student athletes can get made, and to the point where they were like, we could we own your image name and image lightness through perpetuity. They were working through those kind of deals trying to put people in three sixties back then. So the fact that this rually happened and a bunch of players like a Baker Mayfield, I mean, a bunch of athletes are gonna be getting back pay. So that's great some of that billion. But yeah, if you played in the if you played, bro, if you we're in the league. Honestly, I think that rule should go back to twenty ten if it was me even like before that. If you played, if you were in the league. After like two thousand and one, after like the Miami Hurricanes, like once, I think once we got to like USC and like. Matt Lioner and. All Brune and Ronnie Brown and them, I think once you get to like Matt Liner and up, they should get reimbursed. Does that make sense? Like there's like okay, let's say from like ninety nine or like ninety eight to like say two thousand and two, like bro, sorry, y'all are just f****d. Like ninety seven to like. What you know what I mean, like you're gonna screw but everybody else it's like, a

Kenny and Pete react to Aaron Rodgers joining the Steelers, Bateman staying with the Ravens, Five Star Qbs and more. Catch it here and on touchdowns and tangents Are you tired of the same old sports media? Are you tired of hot argument and questions that are just completely based? Lately we have something before humans, touchdowns of tangents of the people, for the people, by people. Who care about the cult church all commentary. Mhmm, what's up, good people? Touchdowns and Tangents here from Hawthorne, California. I'm P D Camrio and he is Kenneth Barry. But there's no sound in my headphones. I can it seems like a personal problem. I don't think you really needed I just. I cannot can hear myself whatever you did. Before that work anyways, to regularly schedule programming. This is Touchdowns and Tangents. I'm PD Camery and he is Ken James, and we are your Thursday night spot for NFL takes topical tangents for the culture used to be live but a shout out to speaker for messing that up. So should we say Thursday Night? So yeah, we're kind of recording a little bit earlier. Normally we'd be able to talk about the thunder game, but now it's happenings as we're recording. So outside of that, I mean, the news of the day is obviously Aaron Rodgers finally committing to a teams. Yeah, a lot of people applying the move saying tomlin is that's what Tomin needs. A veteran quarterback, do you think? I mean it'd be interesting because they just gave him the playbook ahead of time. It's just like, yeah, Aaron Rodgers don't need to be a mini camp. You need to make who's gonna play left guard? Because honestly, I think they should just move Braxton Jones back to left tackle and Troy Fantano should should have been a right guard, a left guard out the gate the way they originally planned it. The right tackle situation I think is pretty good. They took two old linements back to back. So yeah, back to Jones because I think he's been playing left and right. But uh, I think he should just be the guy left tackle because I'm sorry towards a c L he's only like six to four damn near hair over six three, Like, bro you should you should be playing left guard and it would enhance the overall toive line because they already have their guy at at center and they got the skill players. I think you gotta bringing a guy like Karon Rodgers. Really it was just counting down. There shouldn't be any mistakes. My whole thing is, is this Pittsburgh team any better than the Jets last year? Even if the Jets might have been the best, if the Jets would have been operating at full capacity from week one to Week sixteen, I think they would have been better. And also if they would have had Adams earlier, I think they would have been better. So I don't know about that. They also playing a really tough division. I mean, we know what the Ravens and the Bengals are gonna bring. The Browns I think are still going to be real competitive. So yeah, I don't know what to expect for Steeler fans, but I know they're gonna be excited. They're gonna be pumped. They're gonna spend money on jerseys and tickets and things of that nature, so good for them. They're gonna be annoying and talk shit, but that's what they do anyway. So I just don't know if it's going to be any better than I mean, even even last year's Pittsburgh team, like they made the playoffs, So what Rogers maybe makes a one game difference on that team. He had a whole turnover at skilled physicians. They're really just turning that whole offense over offen. Why I was injured. I mean, it's about the same situation except the head coach. So if Mike Tomlin could get them to the playoffs with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, Aaron Rodgers can hold his own. He proved he had a great he had one of the best years. That's ironic. To win the Super Bowl against the Steelers and then win the Super Bowl with the Steelers. That'd be hilarious. And Tomlin might retire after that, but Aaron Rodgers could definitely retire after that. But honestly, they might end up trading TJ. Wak because that man wants to get paid. He hasn't even been at OTAs, So imagine trading TJ wat because you don't want to. But it's the Pittsburgh Steelers. They just developed all pro air rushers no matter who they draft, who they signed, anything else. You want to talk about, anything else, we need to talk about. Well, Frank Ragnall retired the Lion Center, All Pro, four time Pro Bowler. He retired after seven years about Arkansas and he helped usher in a new error for Lions football. He was everything that was bad. I'm surprised he didn't last a full ten years, but honestly, Andrews were really beating his body down. And for sinners, I feel like sinners take a lot of abuse and nobody really cares to talk about. And yes, I was a former center and tackle high school, played multiple spots, so I understand the beating of the Lions have a replacement on oh yeah, and they can also go sign old boy. The Raiders cut if they really needed a center. And Smith, Andre was Andre Miller. That's Andre. It was Andre Smith. We know we're talking about what's his name. I can't believe I'm Andre James, the Spencer James because you know, on all Americans that was horrible out running and Andre James was kind of horrible and some things. But whatever, crazy how he was a tackle in college and made his money as a center. But I could see, you know, Yeah. The other thing about playing center is it's a lot of stress on your knees. It's like being a catcher because you gotta be in your stands the longest, longer than anyone else. And people don't realize how flexible centers are, how how flexible, how. Strong they are. Look at Nigga Mango. I always think about that. Hand eye coordination to. Hand eye coordination for a center from snap to different people pressing their hands against your nether regions. But yeah, I feel like the lines, the one thing they do is they always keep centering. Let's just sit there thinking about they always find into your linement. Think about the life of a center. Bro, Someone's like hitting you in the gooch a thousand times a game, like, bro, Like, that's why they have like the. Core muscle injuries. That's why these guys lose all that weight they have to you're gonna die like it effects. Like people don't really talk about the effects that playing offensive line has on the human body. And I'm not even like I know, like you know, we'd be laughing and joking to be stick. But no, as a former center, like playing tackle was so much easier on my body than playing center because it's like, yeah, at tackle, it's a foot it's a foot knee thing. It's your feet and your knees. Do your feet in your knees work in unison, Okay, then then you'll be all right, you don't really get much, not gonna get a lot, maybe some hip injuries. But it also depends on you, know, how physical you play, the type of player you are. Some guys are all finessed with technique, and some guys will just start a fight at one end of a restaurant and end up in the parking lot. It just varies. But at center, it's just like, hey, you're at the center of a car crash. Every play, well, you're the start of the car crash. Everything starts. You're the car. You're actually the car. You're the one who's gonna get a hit at like seventy miles an hour by a blitzing linebacker that runs a four three forty and Vida Veya standing in front of you. So good luck with that, because getting hit that that's including was like getting hit in the chest with the slave Jamer even in high school. Bro like the beating a center takes. That's why like centers and fullbacks and de tackles just have special places in my heart. Because only the three of us. Really know how badly we f**k each other up, like we do destructive life altering damage to each other in the trenches, and we still manage to have a moral code. That's so it's like Frank Ragnall, one of the pro one of the truest professionals, one of the best Line, the best centers in Line's history, which is saying a lot because they've had a couple so you know, I'm glad he's retiring Joy's money, Joyce family, and he helped turn a franchise around, so good for him. But Dan Morgan Dan Campbell was like, we love Frank, but the goal is the goal. We gotta keep moving. Next man up, So it'll be interested to see if they go get Andre James though. I think that'd be ideal if they they got guys on that roster who can play multiple spots, so it would be interesting. Yeah, all right, Uh, moving on. I think this week's gonna be a lightning episode. But uh, college football, Kenny take it away. Uh, Well, the whole bowl schedule came out. The bowl schedule for this upcoming year came out. The Bahamas Bowl isn't gonna be playing in the Bahamas for like the third year in a row. That's a lot. Yeah, I'd be pissed if I go to the Bahamas Bowl and weird in fucking Kentucky or something. I'm swinging on somebody. Uh. There is also. More talks, especially going to the media day, especially the SEC set of record in the College Baseball World Series for most teams eliminated in the first round or something like that, some crazy ass number. But yeah, back to college football. So people are already talking up Arch Manning, you know, so though he's gonna be the greatest thing since SI spread this year, and you know, people are kind of talking Tomack, especially when it comes to just the draft prospects. Like you can already see like the negative. I don't like the negative energy already around this next year's QB glass. I don't like it. It's like, so if Arch plays bad and still classic clarifiers for the draft, they'll still say he's the top pick, but been by way of maintaining his legitimacy, is the top pick. They're gonna shoot on every quarterback in the class, you know what I mean. It's like, Okay, they Caleb Williams was a consensus go, but you have to you had to consider Michael Pennick Jr. All these other guys, you know, like you have to be like, hey, they actually m

TDT 05/25: Don't Aura Farm the Youth

Kenny and Pete catch up on the latest NFL free agency news as well as the rule and policy changes. They also get into epic tangents about SD backers, retro offensive linemen, east coast versus west coast rap and more. Yo. You literally are you tired of the same clout chasing gatekeepers, the same sports media, podcasting, radio which recycling takes and no context. That's where it touchdowns. Chances come, chaser, See we're different. We give you culturally precise commentary, context for the culture being depth. NFL now with sous So get ready and prepare yourself listening. What's up? Good people Live from Hawthorne, California, fresh off a couple of week break. It's your always on demand spot for NFL takes topical tangents for the culture. I m p d kmrio and he is it Barry. Yeah, man, we actually got a lot of shit to talk about. Took the last couple of weeks off. Just get our mind right. You're back, like, uh, you're you might. Cut up, he said, We back like post thirties pay wow wow. But yeah, man, where should we start? I don't know, I'm not we were talking about this off air? But did we talk about the George Pickings trade? Well, if we didn't, weren't talk about it right now, and if we did, sorry for playing into the part of the media that always talks about the Cowboys. Yeah, but first, before we do any of that restipees. Jim irsay, we're starting to show. Jim irsay, that was not on my beagal card. Yeah, I thought you were gonna say something at the end. Now he died like today, no, yesterday, yesterday literally yeah, it's Thursday. I literally get the whole breaking news alert work. Oh what had happened? It's the normal day. Kendric concert giving up for it outside and boom, Jim Mercede dies were like, oh shit at sixty five. A lot of people, you know he I like that the picture of him when he drafted Peyton Manning and he looks worlds away from that. He was not in good health. His his bout with drugs and everything was kind of well documented. Painkillers, all kinds of stuff. But he built the Colts and so one of the best organizations in football, got them the Super Bowl, helped move on from paid Manning. You know, you guys like Jonathan Taylor, Anthony Richardson, Michael Pippan junior, like he's he's built one of the most helped, you know, building with loyal fan bases, Colts fans, you know, in the league. And he did a lot, a lot of philothropic work Baltimore and Andy. That was one of the things that popped up the most is like all the organizations that he helped like came out, you know and spoke and you know, his last tweet was go Pacers, you know, get him Vallaburton and all that. And then the Pacers ended up coming back on the Knicks because they choked him, blew a fourteen point lead in two minutes. Yeah, that's a wild ty. I didn't think about that, but that's true. That's crazy. Yeah, and then you know, Halliburton does that famous Reggie Miller choked job. Honestly, he thought his foot, he thought his foot wasn't on the line, because you know, you don't do that for a tie, but yeah, he did it for they went over time and ended up winning. It was crazy, but yeah, he was an impact on the league, undeniable. He took over the team from his father and uh, he literally worked every position in the organization on his way up until he became an owner. He was a ball boy. I think he worked at Concessions at one point, like literally worked in every single department of that. And yeah, Lucas Oil Stadium is a it's a somber place without him. But you know, he helped build a lot of infrastructure and bring a lot of money to the state of Indiana and especially downtown Indiana. So you know, anytime Colt fans go to these games, that's the house that Jim Mersey helped build. They should be proud of that. So rest in peace to him. I know. You know, people have said things about him in the past because you know, he was going through all the stuff they arrested, drugs and all that. But somebody dies, you should really look at the totality of like everything. Oh yeah, I hear you fair enough that that was a good a little tribute, a little shut out. Yeah, I mean to. Make Indie even like a piece of the football world is I mean, it's good on THESA and it's good on the brand of the NFL. I feel like what the Coats were kind of really helped, you know, NFL really kind of cross over even more so, you know with Peyton manning teams and Andrew just playing on the Dome, all the Super Bowls they had their you know, the tie into white culture and NASCAR and everything else that's Indiana feels like I haven't been there, I know, you have, but it's just always to me has felt like it's beautiful downtown of those one of those big cities that feels like a football town just because the importance of the team to that area. It feels times just based on like the freeways and all that. But then you actually get to the congested parts, like it's downtown Indie. I didn't even really get to explore all of it, but just the part that I was on, it's beautiful. It really is. And if you've never hit a brewery in downtown Indiana, it has to be on your bucket list. And that chicken spot, that chicken fry spot that like hot honey chicken fry, the best chicken frizes I've ever had in my life. All right back to George Pickens. So, yeah, the Stinglers traded George Pickens to the Cowboys getting the draft conversation, but the fact that I mean, I know this has been said, but it's like, I guess DK Map gets to wear fourteen after all? Did they not realize. All the steerious receivers that have washed out after they got traded, Like. None of them have panned out. Actually, I think accept me and I don't even think Antonio Holmes got traded. Did he just go to the Jets? He was actually decent on the Jets. Yeah, I don't know. It's like the only dude everybody else, I mean Plexico, but Plaxico didn't get traded. Did he saw a free agent? He signed with them as a free agent. Yeah, he signed with them as a free agent. But yeah, probably Plexico. It's probably the only one. Yeah, so Plexic. I guess kind of Antonio bro was cheez No, he had like a I think he had a thousand and it was like barely a thousand. It was like a thousand and three. So that counts. He wasn't in the locker room cancer when he got there. It's my point. He wasn't the problem. He just kind of fell off towards the end. That was a coach at Central State. But yeah, I mean, my Tomlin. There needs to be a thirty for thirty on Mike. There needs to be like a whole doc Like, there needs to be like a Netflix documentary special on Mike Tomlin because this man is like, this man is the leader of men. Think about all the people, all the head cases he managed, Yes, Steelers head coach bro forget James tribute to the James Harrison crash out, some of Ike Taylor crash out. Uh fair, not fair, But like the D line, all the receivers, Big Ben crash out. Maybe On Bell crash out, Antonio Brown crash out. Mike Wallace, Yeah, Mike Wallace was another Steelers receiver that actually was good after he left. Crash out, Pickens crash out, Marteles Bryant crash out. Yeah. I mean, if you break it down, most of his crash outs being receivers, running backs and Big Ben and one one or two Steelers defenders. But I mean you can't really call the pouncy Twins crash out. He was just a great center. That just a tough song, bitch. But yeah, it's great for the Cowboys honestly because Pickings you have to cover George Pickens. Yeah, I mean, Ceedee Lamb is getting a one on one. Gosh, God, God have mercy on that poor dB soul. I mean, I like it a lot for the Cowboys. I don't like it as much for him. I feel like he's gonna get lost in the sauce in that offense, as someone always does. He's finally going to a QB that can actually get somebody the ball. Though Dak is one of the oldest people on that team. He can get guys the ball. He's had career years throwing the ball, so I don't even doubt that. Even if they don't have a great running game, ass in game should be pretty smooth because you got George Pickens and CD Lamb out there for sure. And that's what I'm saying. And if the veterans, if guys can like get a hold of him and be like, look, you have two guys who can run around and who can beat He's a deep threat. He have just like sixteen and a half yards to catch. Yeah, light work for him is sixteen yards to catch. No, So I think he's a big body receiver too. You can go up and get it. I just wish receivers would stop wearing fourteen. It's really ugly. It's like that's a quarterback number. That's a punter kicker number. Like receivers should only be allowed to wear zero through nine. You can only wear eleven if you're already an All Pro. Nobody should be wearing ten as a receiver or twelve. Mike Evans and half thirteen, but after that we gotta cut that off, like you gotta go seventeen to nineteen, like, yeah, zero to nine eleven only if you're nice, and then seventeen to nineteen. Those are my receiver numbers. And obviously the eighties that's what you can pick from. But let the running backs wear all lot of those lower numbers. All right, what else do we need to talk about? You want to talk about the flag football thing here? You want to talk about it in the segments, or you want to talk about got segments? We actually gotta talk about. Oh we gotta run down to seek. This's a whole rundown. Shit, I'm bad. Yeah, it's just all here making my own you know. Also, rather than yeah, where the fuck a were going, tell me what. We're talking about? Rock party and Fred Warner got paid. That's what that was gonna be my alternative if you didn't want to talk about the flag football. But yeah, the Niners talk about flag football. Don't worry there. The Niners uh paid out party. They paid out five Warner. Five years, two hundred and sixty five million dollars with a fully he's fully guaranteed, with no trade. That's pretty party Yeah, what the fuck are you giving Fred Warner two hundred and sixty five million dollars? I know. Fred Warner
