Toxic Workplace is a podcast that gives a platform for people to share their stories of enduring a destructive workplace culture. This podcast was created to give employees a voice. The voice that HR wouldn't listen to because of deep rooted company politics, misuse of power, or a lack of leadership. This show gives a platform to the employee that was never allowed a last word, or who's words had no value to management.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, he said:
“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

The Wicked Witch of the APL: Pamela's Non-Profit Story of a Toxic Executive Director
Pamela started working at a non-profit animal protective league in 2002. She loved the organization and the people she worked with. After 15 years of great leadership and a positive workplace, a new executive director was hired and the morale quickly plummeted. The once happy organization became miserable and toxic under her direction. The board members were under the spell of the executive director and the people working within the organization lost their voice in any decision making. This podcast speaks to my soul! So great for leaders who want to provide the best possible experience for their employees and for those who are unfortunately in a situation similar to those discussed. It really helps you feel empowered and takes the weight off your shoulders when you realize it isn’t just you. A must listen!
This podcast helped me so much when I got a new manager who was a narcissist who created a terrible toxic work environment. I had been in a relationship with a narcissist for many years and I had educated myself on NPD shortly after the relationship ended. Because of that I could easily spot the signs of narcissistic abuse in my new boss. I love that this podcast gives real examples of toxicity and the cycle of abuse, how to identify red flags, and how to care for yourself! Absolutely amazing! Thank you!
This is a great podcast -highly recommend!!
