    005. Adventure Equals Risk

    005. Adventure Equals Risk

    Hello and welcome to Train to Reign podcast. Kingdom discipleship that trains you to reign in his name. Today we are bringing to you a wisdom bearer episode. This episode comes from our most recent monthly base camp session where real authentic people humbly access the ancient path that God offers to us in Jeremiah 616 so that the recovery of the gospel is maintained today. we will be pulling from the wisdom of a man who is truly consented to the process of becoming more like Jesus Christ. Matt Popovich has an amazing story to tell and in this episode Matt will be diving into the concept of God’s call upon your heart for adventure. Most people spend their lives trying to eliminate risk and falsely claiming that to be adventure. However, a person’s true life becomes an adventure when the entirety of their life takes on the purpose of releasing control over their life and giving it to the adventurous heart of God. Let’s jump in to see what Matt Popovich has to say about adventure.

    004. Psalm 23 & John 10 // Prayer Meditation

    004. Psalm 23 & John 10 // Prayer Meditation

    This prayer meditation is brought to you by Joshua and Leah Meyer.

    Psa 23: 1-4

    1 The Lord is my shepherd;
       I have all that I need.
    2 He lets me rest in green meadows;
       he leads me beside peaceful streams.
    3     He renews my strength.
    He guides me along right paths,
       bringing honor to his name.
    4 Even when I walk
       through the darkest valley,[a]
    I will not be afraid,
       for you are close beside me.
    Your rod and your staff
       protect and comfort me.

    John 10: 2-7 & 14-16

    2 But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4 After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. 5 They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice.” 6 Those who heard Jesus use this illustration didn’t understand what he meant, 7 so he explained it to them: “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep… 14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, 15 just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So, I sacrifice my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd.

    003. The Significance of God's Covenants

    003. The Significance of God's Covenants

    These opening podcast episodes are going to be an attempt to grasp the true larger story of God and more importantly get after the truth of who God is, what is gods story, who we are in the God who made us, and how we are called to live out our story as a part of the greater story of God. That last part is exactly what we’re after today. We are talking about how to live in accordance to God’s covenantal laws found in both the Old Testament and in the New Testament. In order for us to truly take a proper and successful journey of spiritual formation we must understand how we are called to live our lives obediently to our Lord and Savior. but there has been a lot of confusion regarding which of the 613 laws in the Old Testament that we should abide by versus the new covenant that Jesus Christ gave his people in fulfilling the old. Fortunately, I have with me today Dr. Daniel Diffey who will be able to help us navigate these rough waters. Dr. Diffey is currently an associate professor of Old Testament theology at Grand Canyon seminary. He received his bachelor’s degree in history and completed an M div in Christian ministry while also obtaining his PhD in Old Testament theology. A father of three and a husband to his wife Anne, Dr. Diffey would say that he has two great passions, his first greatest passion is the need for believers to be connected in the local church and be using that connection for the greater good of expanding God’s kingdom and his second great passion is that of helping people to understand and live out the message of the Bible.

    002. The Manifest Presence of God

    002. The Manifest Presence of God

    Today’s episode will be a wisdom bearer episode with none other than our Renewed Kingdoms camp founder and nonprofit leader, Jeff Schuster. In the summer of 2013 Jeff attended a Wild at Heart Bootcamp event in Colorado and felt God calling him to bring that experience back to others in Ohio. Since then, Jeff and his wonderful wife Tammy have been working in tandem to bring both mens and women’s camps to Eagle Wings Lodge in Hocking Hills, Ohio. Today Jeff will be talking about the manifest presence of God. A true Journey of discipleship requires not only receiving the revelation of God and his plans to do a great work in you and through you but also the very important matter of one taking God’s revelation on the most important journey they will ever take… 18 inches from the mind to the heart, manifesting the presence of God.

    001. Welcome

    001. Welcome

    Welcome to Train to Reign podcast, Kingdom discipleship that trains you to reign in his name. GK Chesterton was quoted as saying that every generation loses the path to life and every generation is charged with his recovery. It is simply that recovery that this podcast and train to reign is all about. There are many Christians in this world that have great desires to do good for God and to be used by God to expand his kingdom. The problem is that most Christians in this world don’t fully consent to the process of heart restoration. This is probably the most critical mistake that anyone attempting to pursue a life with Christ could make. Because pursuing your own heart’s healing empowers you with the ability to be successful in the pursuit of reigning in your own kingdoms that God intended for you to have.
