I just finished listening to the first of Eric Grosse’s new podcast, Trajectori, and I couldn’t be more impressed. He profiles a superb health leader, Sami Inkinen, in a compelling, revelatory style. Though it’s been decades since I was in college, I felt like I just came out of a class from one of the best professors one could imagine.   Eric’s love of history is obvious. So too his wide-ranging intellect. And both come through in the selection of Mr. Inkinen, an extraordinary Finnish-born entrepreneur as well as athlete. As the founder of Trulia and Virta Health, he is reimagining metabolic health through AI, technology, and nutrition. Even if you think you know Mr. Inkinen, you will learn so much more in this two-hour, fascinating discourse.   In his introduction, Mr Grosse tells us that the best way to understand greatness is to study the best practitioners themselves, and he has done that with Mr. Inkinen.   I found the discussion around core values to be especially cool - although I wasn’t expecting to, I started taking notes not five minutes into the podcast. I didn’t expect that the conversation would yield so much information that anyone could start using tomorrow, no matter your mission. “In short, there are no shortcuts.” This podcast is full of reminders like this. What an action orientation!   It is also noticeable how humble our narrator is, which is always welcome.   My deepest thanks to Mr. Grosse for helping me come to know a truly great leader, Sami Inkinen, and for sharing so many lessons. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
