    Just after midnight on July 15, 2017, 24-year-old Brianna Vibert walked into a Marathon gas station near her home in Flint Township, Michigan. She was visibly upset and had a cut on her arm. The clerk working that night recognized Brianna because she often came into the store. Brianna told him that she had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend and was looking for a ride. A short time later, a man driving a red Pontiac Aztec pulled into the parking lot. According to the clerk, it appeared Brianna didn’t know the man, but she asked him for a ride anyway. At first, he declined and drove away. But after leaving, he changed his mind and returned to the gas station to pick her up. Around 1 AM, Brianna left with the man and disappeared into the night. Two days later, on July 17, 2017, Brianna’s family reported her missing to the Flint Township Police Department. By then, they had already begun piecing together parts of Brianna’s final known movements. They learned about the unknown man in the red Aztec and discovered that, roughly 30 minutes after leaving the gas station, Brianna had contacted a friend she sometimes stayed with after arguments with her boyfriend. Brianna asked if she could spend the night there. The friend agreed, but Brianna never arrived. As investigators retraced Brianna’s movements, the case quickly became more complicated. Surveillance footage revealed additional stops after Brianna left the Marathon station. Her belongings later surfaced in strange places. Witness accounts shifted, timelines stopped lining up, and investigators were left trying to determine whether the people surrounding Brianna were withholding information about her disappearance or hiding something else entirely.     This episode originally aired on March 10, 2019. On July 1, 2018, 28-year-old Kevin Graves vanished while attending the Electric Forest Music Festival in Rothbury, Michigan. Kevin had traveled to the festival with his girlfriend and friends, but during the weekend, he disappeared after reportedly walking away from the group while agitated and distressed. When Kevin failed to return home, his loved ones immediately knew something was wrong. Extensive search efforts began almost immediately across the festival grounds and surrounding wooded areas. But despite years of searching, no trace of Kevin was found. Then, more than six years later, human remains discovered near the festival grounds were identified as Kevin Graves. In 2025, the medical examiner ruled his cause of death undetermined, stating there was no evidence of trauma and no clear indication of what happened in the hours after Kevin disappeared. This replay revisits Kevin’s case and includes an update at the end of the episode on the discovery of his remains and the status of the investigation today.     In mid-January 2025, 22-year-old Jeremiah Moneta disappeared from Ponca City, Oklahoma. Just months earlier, Jeremiah had moved from Kansas City, Missouri, hoping to be closer to his mother and siblings after the sudden death of his godfather. He was beginning to settle into his new life, working, saving money, and preparing to move into his own apartment. Jeremiah was also trying to meet people and build new connections in a place that was still unfamiliar. On January 17, Jeremiah’s mother, Jaimie, received a phone call from a stranger. The woman said she had found Jeremiah’s phone, inhaler, and beanie on her porch. The discovery didn’t make sense. Jeremiah never went anywhere without his inhaler. As Jaimie tried to reach her son, she realized something was wrong. Jeremiah wasn’t answering calls or texts, and he hadn’t shown up for work. When she went to his apartment, everything appeared undisturbed. His belongings were still there, including cash. There were no signs of a struggle, and nothing to suggest he had planned to leave. But as the days passed, more details began to surface. Some of them raised even more questions. More than 15 months later, Jeremiah is still missing. His family continues searching for answers, hoping that someone with information will come forward.     In August of 2007, 50-year-old Paul Elliott disappeared from Alliance, Ohio. According to Paul’s brother-in-law, Phil, Paul left home on his bicycle. At first, Paul’s family believed he had likely gone to the rural trailer property where he sometimes stayed when he needed space. But when Paul’s son, Bryan, checked the property, the trailer was locked, and there was no sign of Paul or his bicycle. Bryan checked the places Paul was known to go, contacted friends and family, repeatedly returned to the trailer property, and hung missing person flyers throughout town. But no one could confirm seeing Paul after the day Phil said he rode away. Meanwhile, a strange rumor began to spread that Paul had gone to Alaska. No one seemed to know where the story originated, but somehow, it took hold. Some family members were told Paul was in Alaska, not that he was missing. For years, that rumor gave some people hope, while others questioned whether it was true at all. As time passed, Bryan became increasingly skeptical. Paul had left behind his phone, wallet, identification, Social Security card, and even the backpack he usually carried when riding his bike, hardly the belongings of someone preparing to start over thousands of miles away. Then, in 2013, nearly six years after Paul disappeared, Bryan made a discovery that changed everything. Inside Paul’s locked trailer, Bryan found Paul’s bicycle hidden in the back room. That discovery raised an entirely new set of questions. Had Paul hidden it himself? Had someone else put it there? And if the bike had been there all along, what did that mean?     On a summer day in 2007, 50-year-old Paul Elliott left the duplex he shared with family in Alliance and rode away on his bicycle.  According to his brother-in-law, Paul left after learning that police had been called about tools stolen from the property. There's no indication that Paul had taken the tools. In fact, his brother-in-law reportedly believed someone else was responsible. But those close to Paul say he was deeply uncomfortable around law enforcement because of something that had happened years earlier, so when he heard police were coming, he left before they arrived. Paul had a remote trailer outside of town where he sometimes went to be alone and clear his head. Everyone assumed he headed there and would be back within a few days, but Paul never came home. As time passed, a strange story began to spread. People said Paul had gone to Alaska. No one seemed to know exactly where the rumor started, but somehow it took hold. At first, it gave his loved ones hope that Paul had simply walked away to start over somewhere else.  The explanation that Paul went to Alaska didn't seem to hold up under closer scrutiny. Paul had left behind his wallet, phone, identification, and everything he would've needed to build a new life. He was also excited for his son’s upcoming wedding, a day those closest to him insist he never would have missed. Then, several years later, Paul’s son made a discovery that changed everything. Hidden inside a locked building he found Paul’s bicycle, the very bicycle he was said to have ridden away the day he vanished. It had been tucked out of sight, almost as though someone wanted to make sure it wouldn't be found.     This episode originally aired on June 22, 2020. Since that time, there have been significant updates in Trudy's case. On the morning of August 21, 1996, Dennis Appleby left his Moline, Illinois, home to head to work, leaving his 11-year-old daughter, Trudy, at home to spend the summer day. Around 9:30 a.m., a neighbor saw Trudy with a man who appeared to be in his 20s, with dark curly hair and a baseball cap. The unidentified man was driving a silver or gray four-door sedan. Dennis came home from work that evening and was surprised to find that Trudy was not home. He called neighbors and some of Trudy’s friends, but she was not with any of them. That is when Dennis called the police to report Trudy missing. For decades, Trudy’s case remained unsolved. In this episode, originally released in 2020, we discuss the people investigators believed may have been responsible for Trudy’s disappearance and the evidence that led them there.     Over the past three weeks, we’ve followed Andrew Dixon’s story from the beginning, from the life he was trying to build, to the challenges he faced, to the fear and confusion that seemed to grow in the weeks leading up to his disappearance. We traced Andrew’s final known movements, the early investigation, and the discovery of the car abandoned along a remote stretch of highway roughly 45 miles north of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. But beyond that point, Andrew’s trail goes cold. There is no way to know for certain whether Andrew was behind the wheel when that vehicle was abandoned, or whether he ever made it to that stretch of highway at all. As the investigation continued, new information complicated the picture. Early assumptions began to shift, and those closest to Andrew were left trying to make sense of details that often did not fully add up. In this fourth and final installment of Andrew’s story, we take a closer look at the search efforts, the theories surrounding what may have happened to Andrew, and the questions that still remain unanswered.     Over the past two weeks, you’ve heard the first two parts of Andrew Dixon’s story. In Part 1, we explored Andrew’s early life in Oklahoma and the complicated family history that followed him into adulthood. After moving to New Mexico, Andrew built a life and became a father, but by 2025, that stability had begun to unravel. He was struggling with addiction, his relationship had ended, and a legal situation left him temporarily unable to see his daughter, something that deeply affected him. In Part 2, we focused on the days leading up to his disappearance. Andrew appeared increasingly fearful, telling others he believed he was being watched or followed. Some saw this as paranoia fueled by substance use, while others weren’t so sure. On July 28, 2025, Andrew was last seen in Truth or Consequences. By the next day, both he and his roommate’s Toyota Camry were gone. Andrew was reported missing on July 30. As Detective Jeffers began working the case, he uncovered digital evidence and interviewed those close to him, but one major detail remained unknown. The car Andrew had been driving had actually been located shortly after he disappeared; it just hadn’t yet been connected to Andrew. In this episode, we examine where that car was found, what was located inside, and how that discovery changed the direction of the case.
