Toronto's premier weekly electronic music Podcast. Stemming from its roots as a Facebook group in 2012, TRC brings Toronto-area electronic music fans together as one community. The platform is an extension of this mission, providing a fully-integrated and unified ecosystem for electronic music fans to connect, and be the trusted source for local talent, events, and global music news through community-driven editorial and podcasting. The TRC Sessions Podcast features artists in the GTA, as well as incoming touring artists. New episodes released every Wednesday night.

    TRC Sessions 065: Funk X Rish

    Over the last year, @funkxrish have injected their brand of groovy underground DJ sets into Toronto's nightlife community with passion and zeal! The combination of Terry Funk and Rish and their drive as both producers and DJs has lead to a rapid synchronized dash onto the lineups of both local events and out-of-province gigs. Thanks to a continued relationship with Montreal's CIRCUS Afterhours, Funk X Rish return to the legendary venue at the end of this month after a myriad of summer performances at events like Electric Island. Now, the duo are on the cusp of double digits with their monthly podcast - X Marks the Spot - as well as curating the productions of both Canadian and international producers thanks to their own label, Plus Minus Recordings. Enjoy this hour of house tunes (plus some surprises) c/o Funk X Rish. It's jam packed with a metric tonne of edits, unreleased tracks, originals, and samples.

    Matt Smith AKA @Rektech brings us one of our darkest podcasts yet. Ticking a lot of boxes for any Comfort Zone loyalist, the Ontario-raised DJ conjures just under an hour of riveting and brooding beats in this week's TRC Sessions mix. While knowledgeable and apt in a multitude of dance music genres, Rektech says that nothing else sticks to his sensibilities like gritty techno does. Julian Jeweil, Cirez D, Stefano Nofirini, Metodi Hristov, Deadmau5, and Jay Lumen are just some of the producers/djs inspiring this young DJ when he hops behind the decks. The vigorous attitude of those acts and others becomes luminous in the next 51 minutes.

    @NileGov brings us a calming 63rd TRC Sessions podcast. Blending pop, tropical house, downtempo and a pinch of dancehall together, the following hour of tunes is an illuminating chill-out mix for the end of your summer sixteen. Govi's been making music in the moment, for the moment. The Ontario-based producer's peaceful side is vibrant throughout his most recent creation, 'Lust.' With a selection of pop/house remixes under his belt, we're excited to see what this forward-thinking purveyor of music brings us next!
