Not only is he a leading expert on the breed he bred, raised and hunted them for just as long. We talk about how he got his start in the breed and how he met Taylor Crockett. He became a student of Mr. Crockett. They travelled many miles together and spoke to numerous mountain families about the old brindle bear dogs.     In this week's episode I am joined by Greg Thompson. I met Greg about two years ago by chance at Tractor Supply. I noticed his dog box and had to strike up a conversation. He was in town visiting his parents for the holidays. While Greg was originally from the same area as me, he has moved West and is now a dry ground lion hunter. Along the way Greg has had numerous different types of working and hunting dogs.
