I discuss the importance of having a solid support system—those friends who will validate your feelings but also offer honesty and compassion when needed. A fresh perspective is always helpful. I’ll also share a personal story about a recent challenge I faced (spoiler: my permesso (permission to stay in Italy) didn’t last until I got my citizenship!), and how, after letting myself feel the frustration, I reframed it into gratitude.
